The fact is: Grab is still losing money. It can't please everybody - drivers, riders, employees, management, investors.

If it gives better bonus to the drivers, and more promo to the riders, there will be no increment for the staff, let alone bonus.

Investors? They haven't got dividend yet.

Regarding Grab calling drivers...
I use my secondary phone for grabbing. When I am offline, I often don't bother to turn on the phone.

Grab should really keep our alternate phone numbers.

I have this experience...
A rider left his headset in my car. I informed Grab about this.

A few weeks later the rider contacted me, wanting to get back the headset. I asked him to collect it at near my office.

The rider told me he was a lawyer working in Singapore. He just return to Malaysia.

The headset wasn't high quality stuff. His Grab fare to my office probably cost as much as a new one.

For full timers, paying a runner 1k is worth it. But for part timers that's too much

But it may be easier to get jobs during off peak hours. That could be the good thing.

Just a thought:
How about remove the tint before heading to Puspakom? After passing inspection reinstall tint which complies to the regulations.

That way, you endure one time pain rather than having to pay for runners every year.

For nearly two years, I top up credit wallet with epay for the first time.

These two days most of my jobs were cash payment ones, with very little TBB and promo.

Hell at KLCC

It's not about the brand. It's about the VLT of the tint, which you can choose.

For example, regulations say that VLT of the windscreen is 70%. To be safe, choose 80% for the tint.

Yesterday my first job (in the afternoon) was to KLCC. The riders were two Indo guys. The jam towards KLCC was terrible.

The second job was to pick up riders at Petronas Tower 2. Because the security guards close the road, I ask the riders to come to KLCC entrance, which they agreed. But before they came, the guard was giving me trouble
The riders were Tionghua Indo vacationing in KL.

After a few jobs, I got another one to KLCC. This time the riders were Bangla. I quickly toggled to not available, and asked to drop off the riders by the roadside. I explained to them that it was faster to walk than to be stuck in the heavy jam.

Half an hour later I got yet another job to KLCC. This time I gave up, and pressed Cancel

In between I got a PRC rider going to Pavilion. The traffic was slow but still much better compared to KLCC.

Yesterday (Friday) evening I waited at LRT station but couldn't get a job.

Today half of all my jobs had RM5 fares. Fortunately got a bit of TBB to cover up.

Overall, it is not very profitable doing grab this Raya season.
