For me, the worst rider always mafren & arabs.

In my experience, bangla, arabs and mapren can be troublesome, but they don't give low ratings like India Indians do.

Your mileage may vary...

how u differentiate the Indian are local or from india?

Their English accents are different.

Other than that, local Indians mostly speak Tamil; India Indians speak Hindi or other languages.

Why would taxi drivers do e-hailing after July 11, when they can charge RM20 for a 3km trip whistling.gif

There are no taxi at ulu place, like Kepong Industrial Park (which I went to last week), and, after July 11, fewer Grab drivers. Good luck to the Myanmar, Vietnamese and mapren people there.

Anthony Loke said PSV exam is easy to pass whistling.gif
He himself took it and answered 49 questions correctly...

Why MY minister is making it hard for the Rakyat to earn a bit extra to feed the family by doing extra work instead of lepak at Mamak teh tarik shops? https://www.malaysiakini.com/columns/482331...-ThinXSnp-DIOXw

In fact, there should be positive encouragement with free Puspakom inspection to PSV  courses where the drivers are doing the service to provide transport to the public instead of taxing them.

The other constructive regulations would be just limiting the hours of driving especially to those under 25 years where many are college students. They should not being sucked into to be taxi drivers for life.

They should regulate the fare to be compatible with taxi to prevent the problem of undercutting their livelihood of professional driving.

Let it be known the 200,000 drivers from ehailing industry are old enough or are registered voters where additional voting rights are from the family too. When MY minister is making life tough for them, they would not forget what to do next.  hmm.gif
*
I agree that e-hailing insurance and Puspakom inspection are good (though we could end Puspakom monopoly), but PSV exam is irrelevant. Remember the Robert Kiyosaki question?

Grab's own training is more useful. PSV exam should be abolished.

Regulating fare is not market economy.

As for voting, the voters will forget everything once najib goes to Sungai Buloh biggrin.gif

I just received this message.

[attachmentid=10277348]

1) If I cancel my current insurance, my money considered as burn?

2) is it possible for me to buy a new insurance from online which matches my road tax? (Less than 1 year). If yes, which company?
*
Just get the Grab e-hailing insurance on daily basis. Then, when you renew auto insurance, add the e-hailing option.

Terima kasih.

nowaday crap would send reminder first jikalau our Cr is high. driver better do more job and less cxl on weekend
*
As a part time driver, it is hard for me to do more jobs. So I only cancel jobs as last resort.

E.g. I miss a junction, and it's extra 2km for the pickup distance;
Or, it's 7:30pm weekday, I receive a job to Rawang, which is far from home.

How do i switch insurance mid-term like this? my motor insurance is only 3-4 months old

Take the Grab insurance on daily basis. Then when you renew insurance change to another provider.

So the innermost lane is reserved for metered taxi only. e-hailing vehicles must use the outermost lane. I though they say level playing field?

Never mind that the taxis don't use meter...

Similar modus operandi as any MLM isn't it.
Grab drivers are being Anal-ized is more ways than one. It is pity and sad some drivers have no choice due to personal circumstances.
Late last year one of the company employees passsed away due to cardiac arrest during working time at the company. I knew he was driving for grab after working hours till midnite. When he died he was only 40 years old. Healthy looking indivdual. All he was doing, was for his Wife and school going Children so that they have a better education and life.
The look on the wife and the children during the wake remains very clear in my mind. The sole breadwinner gone.
Very sad indeed.
Honest living in Malaysia is becoming a fainter dream.
*
No all do grab because they have no choice.
I got a friend who worked in certain industry for more than 10 years (so I assumed his pay was OK). He resigned from his job to do grab full time. The reason given: he wanted flexible time.

He probably regrets now...

frankly speaking, i think those seriously into e-hailing already get it done or in the midst of doing it.

even if get extra 3 months, the figure will not NEVER hit 100K...or shall i say not more than 50K/70K  ??

MOT should talk to stakeholder like crappers what stop them.... and get crap to listen to crapper too

for me very simple, 20% comm is alots...i can be structure based on tier...

anyway, i will get myself on board now and see how...
*
Stakeholders are not just Grab and drivers, but include riders and, yes, taxi drivers.

Grab drivers want full freedom to select jobs, but riders won't be happy. There must be a compromise.

Regarding commission, MOT has set it to 20%, so Grab should respect it. It can use other means to discourage cherry picking, e.g. longer time out duration.

As for whether 20% commission is too much, my opinion is this:
If Grab gives us TBB when we are stuck in jam, then 20% commission is acceptable. (Though I feel Grab can improve on this scheme.)

MyCar may take lower commission, but does it give the drivers any forms of bonus? Does it give subsidies to drivers to comply with the new MOT regulations?

According to news, police will still carry out checks, but they will only give warning to drivers who don't have PSV.

Might as well do nothing yawn.gif
