How does warranty go for import models? Has anyone have experience repairing them at the Xiaomi service centre in Malaysia? I’m just thinking of getting the previous gen Xiaomi Robotic Vacuum cleaner and in case something goes wrong, I can get it fixed at the local service centre here in Penang.

you can buy chinese model with one year warranty. you can also buy warranty on its own (sold by shopee sellers)
the machine i think is very easy to fix so warranty offered by our local dealers is good enough.
mine is exactly one year now. i bought with one month's warranty that time
there is also a newer model now that can mop. its from Mijia. Its quite new so not every dealer is selling it. Its cheaper than the roborock s5 model

Hi, great write up. Totally agree with the cleanliness.

But i am wondering if anybody cld help me. Currently using t6 model but after update. Something went wrong and now my apps dont work anymore. I cant control using my fon.

Where you bought from? Have you try asking your seller?
I think you need to reset the robot to revert to the original firmware. After that don’t update anymore or it won’t work

So does that mean after reset doesnt work means is a gone case? Bcoz i had tried factory setting also still same. Sigh..

hold the square button ( not d home button the other one) open the lid for the dust bin.. you will see a litlle hole write reset (near the blue LED/wifi led) u need to press that little button and keep prees the square button until it sound like when u reset the wifi

Then make sure to set your smartphone timezone to manually point to one of the China cities. Infact do this one first before resetting.

So update on my situation, i bought the xiaomi robot vacuum cleaner global version from xiaomi official store in Lazada just to be safe - warranty and support. Initial thoughts, i’m very impressed with its cleaning ability

Mine was from Shopee as I believe it's global version! How do I set it to connect to China server? Can't use it with my other xiaomi 😟

You can’t unfortunately but if you google hard enough you may be able to find a hack to change international version to China version
