Depends what you need. The S5 vs S6 series really not much difference. You can always buy the new main brush, side brush, disposable wipes later on to fit the older S5 series. The mapping has some differences - do you need multiple floors maps, do you need individual room id, etc

Bathroom you can always use virtual barriers to block off on both series. Same for carpets.

Hi ,

Do I always need to on WIFI when using roborock S50 ?

Lets say I have already set up the app previously using WIFI such as cleaning schedule , map with no go zone.

Do roborock remember those setting without WIFI on ?

Do roborock do cleaning automatically without WIFI ?

FYI , I plan on buying one.

Is it good to proceed with this model?

things to consider -
1. does your moms place have internet connection? you will need one at least for the initial setup
2. can your mom clean and clear the bin?
3. if your home has two or more floors, you will have to carry it up to another floor. its quite heavy
4. if you dont need the mopping feature you can consider the mi robot (both new and old version)

if you dont have a wifi internet connection, you will need to physically press the button on the robot
not sure if it can keep to its schedule if there is no internet connection

if your dog do not chase after the bot,
no issue,
otherwise,
the dog had to stay outside until the bot finishes

Nice review.

Just bought one few days back.

Roborock definitely does a better vacuum job than myself. rclxms.gif

@idoblu Just wondering if the bot is still working properly now? Heard the laser sensor can spoil easily and in that case, it might burn a big hole in pocket.... unsure.gif
