I'm in the same boat as you. Only have CC account but no CASA. When I pressed Settings > Quick Balance Device, I got message "You do not have the access rights for this function. For activation, please visit the nearest PBB branch."

Haih another trip to PBB branch? In 2018, everything is manual with this bank.

Me. Once you spent RM 250, PBB will inform RP. RP will then contact you via email to redeem the gift. I have redeemed and got it.
If you haven't received email from RP, then call PBB CS to ask them to inform RP for the gift.

I know, but it is not always true, and the bank can enforce it anytime. You are taking risk to get charged of interest but you get a few cents of saving.

Different bank different practice. If the practice changes will very quickly have notice here from those who habitually do this. And changing this is a matter of changing how their internal system processes cash back, which is a cost to the bank.

Most banks that allow cashback to offset in fact display something to indicate that, for example updating the minimum payment (MBB does this) or showing the cashback as payment received.
