try turn off SmartHDR and see if any changes

I have tried. did u see my x and xs phone pic side by side? x is better right? i snot it outdoor. for some reason i notice all the youtube xs pics are very nice dont know if my phone camera has pro or not

i went to the store and check the photo taken by sx store and mine side by side and can see a diff. theirs really clear whilst mine not so
according to the staff cz the store fone has been kept there for the longest time so the colour would be diff as it has "adapted" to the lighting is that true?

Iphone Xs Max local set is esim + nano sim but there's no telco that officially supports esim for iphone now

Don’t think there’s such a case. Anyways, you can try a reset to see if it’s a software thingy or worse case scenario bring your phone to a service centre to diagnose it if you’re still concerned as it is under warranty.

Maybe your screen tint need some adjustment? Also isn't the main lens on the XR and XS/XS Max same camera only differ that the higher end having telephoto lens and different processing s/wares. Also since phone still new, the lcd hasn't settled down (burn in) yet...

He’s is an Xs, so no LCD but OLED.. Thing is he says his display is fine, just the photos are yellowish.. could be something else not right...

My bad. You are both right, its nothng to do with the screen. May I suggest taking a full frame picture of a white wall. The result would then show whether there is any yellowish on any part of the picture.

I got an issue where face id already unlock the phone, but it won’t go to homescreen when swipe up, it stayed at lock screen no matter how many times I swipe, restart the phone then back to normal.

Anyone facing this problem? I encountered this after updated to 12.1.3, it happened twice already in 2 days.

yes, the older iphone cameras have a diff ISP method than latest one i noticed too

youtube XS can be misleading as the youtubers may have touched up the photos

not sure if it can be called powdery, but its more like an oil paint kind of effect. im not digging it

but thats usually in certain scenarios and SmartHDR doing its work again. SmartHDR mostly shines in bright environments
