is FTB and FWS still in used for unifi installation?
mine installer direct pull cable from pole into the house and manually connect the cable to blue socket into BTU. Is it standard practice and professional?

hey all. just checking- did anyone's unifi contract get renewed for 2 years after the turbo upgrade? and they even charged me 50 bucks to replace my existing router.

I don't need 800mbps.... I checked the data stream, peak usage with 4 persons youtube only maximum 40-50mbps. Never hit 100mbps. 800mbps will be very wasteful

btw, can retain Unifi home number once changed to Maxis Fiber?

That’s your problem. For 800Mbps, you will need a decent router that cost above RM600 if you want good speed on WiFi.

anyone here got upgraded from VIP10 to unifi 100Mbps (Turbo Upgrade 2018) ?

i got conflicted answers from unifi regarding billing and plan. during VIP10 - paying about RM160. when i asked a rep a few weeks ago, the price will not change even after upgrade. but today, a rep told me that they will prorate from when the upgrade kicked in, so that the coming months' bill will be RM129. coincidentally, another rep called and kept pushing to change plan to unifi lite 100Mbps but why?...

the point here is , change package via app or chat or unifi.com.my
they will allow you to downgrade to RM129 package , but equipment not changing unless is faulty.
Engineer come change equipment will charge RM53 , beside that is not all equipment is change.

Hello guys eversince i switch router to D-Link DIR-867 ive had intermittent disconnection while playing games (PUBG). Even more weird sometimes on app like discord (its like skype but made for gamer) my friends can hear me when i speak but i cant hear them in return, but i know they are talking cause the app will highlight anyones name when they speak is just that i cant hear them but they can still hear me. On teamspeak sometimes i just disconnect totally.

Tried using back my old 5--6 years old router (Innatech RG4332) thats provided by UNIFI, all those problems dissapeared but that old router only support upto 100mbps and wifi range/speed are really bad, but stable at wired LAN connection and i need those because i play competitive game casually.

I've got a speed upgrade from 30MPBS to 300MBPS, and i didnt want to get the new router from TM to support this speed since its quite bad says alot of forum lowyat users. That's why ive decided to get Dlink router on my own instead.

- changing to a new cable that is cat 6
- firmware update and also revert it back to older firmware that are the only one on Dlink Malaysia link.
