QUOTE(AVFAN @ Nov 19 2018, 01:34 PM) a new TM horror has landed. There are always contract, dont confuse min commitment period and contract, da 24months are just part of agreement housed under contract. Da 24 months per se doesnt constitute a contract.seems this new horror is targeted at those turbo-ed to 800mbps. my case was: before turbo 299+60-180 = 179, after turbo 329+60-140=249. but same as case above, net diff = incr rm70. reported twice, nothing yet. will see if next bill is same or adjusted accordingly. ** btw, are we sure we did not sign a clause that says "i agree right of unifi to change price or discount anytime they wish without conditions, with or without contract..."!! A contract ends if and only if either party [TM or subscriber] opts to terminate. Else after 24 months if no contract, your wired internet service would cut off automatically and u need not pay anymore. |

QUOTE(mylinear @ Nov 19 2018, 03:44 PM) I doubt it. If your total bill is the same, I guess it does not matter how they arrived at the figure. They have said before, if package changes, discount can change. Perpetual is only for that time that package is in effect. Didnt they say the rest with remain intact apart from speed bump? For example, last time 100M could be RM299 - RM200 discount. Then you switch to the new 100M package. Surely that does not mean the RM200 perpetual discount is still applicable. Or if you got turbo, and they package price is changed, the discount will also be changed. |

QUOTE(mylinear @ Nov 19 2018, 03:50 PM) The rest what? The prices? I know, ur talking bout the lump sum. yes, i mean the price, the base price figures, promo discount perpetual and whatnot..Well, 100M used to show as RM299. After 800M turbo, it shows as RM329. But the adjust discounts and this and that and eventually the total is the same as you used to pay. So...? What am I missing here? Isn't the total we pay the most important thing? Edited: RM229 to RM299. Forget about consistency, in their retarded brain, ARPU and profit=consistency, haha |

QUOTE(winnie619 @ Nov 20 2018, 02:58 PM) As long as it's addon[since i can see it's priced RM20 from your bill], I bet u can remove it, not sure if it works like hypptv which has 12month min subs period tied to it and downgrade fee required. If they refuse to remove that for you, thereaten to report them to cfm/skmm/kpdnkk, if they say they will rugi if u remove it like anonymous1234 pointed out. They are hindering you from exercising your right, no need to be civil and nice to them, be firm! Tell them back, I rugi more! I pay 4 something Im not using!! |

So one cant perform the usual "baptise" routine to "salvate" TM variant dir842 from TM's custom firmware? Flash regional firmware like c1200 v1's eu firmware is no go?
I thought dir842@rm80 is a steal! Haha |

QUOTE(AVFAN @ Nov 20 2018, 11:00 PM) If evthg is locked down, what's da point? Just like the maxis routers. Ohh, i have OCD, must remove the suffix at all cost, im planning to use it as my main router, haha. It's da cheapest Mu-MiMo router in market atm. Well, 2nd hand item works on a beauty is in the eye of beholder/happy buyer happy seller basis. There's no standard benchmark of item price etc across all products of same item age and condition. Watever the dealing price will be da verdict. This post has been edited by imalmighty: Nov 23 2018, 12:25 PM |

QUOTE(cskean @ Nov 20 2018, 09:11 PM) The TR-069 is meant for remotely access to our router by Unifi right? For troubleshooting purposes only? U can also utilize tr069 to manage your own router when u r away from home. Guess what, u provide convenience to yourself, u also provide convenience to others at the same time. Like u hide a spare key somewhere outside your house, u make yourself vulnerable at the same time. |

QUOTE(cskean @ Nov 21 2018, 12:15 AM) Router owner can also access their DIR-842 remotely? By using the TR-069 ip address? Or there is an app or website to do so? Technically, yes. Depends on manufacturer if they want to gove u this feature. Shud they give u remote access, they would pave the road for you, let u create an online account specifically to sync with your router, somewhat like tplink cloud. U dont have to open up command prompt and telnet or ssh like a hacker, haha |

QUOTE(westlife @ Nov 21 2018, 05:29 PM) What is the procedure for transfer of ownership? New acc holder wud have to serve another 24 month term. Previoualy this was not enforced. Rm10.60 including sst iirc..I know that there is a fee of rm10. Does it reset the contract period after transfer of ownership or it stays the same? |

This is blatant ignorance. The later your application takes effect, the longer they can charge u at old and higher pricing rate.sHawTY teach him how to camp at TMpoint |

QUOTE(westlife @ Nov 21 2018, 10:28 PM) U may set it up as a slave router to extend your wifi range by setting it as repeater mode. Put the LAN from main router into streamx LAN port instead, in repeater mode, it will behave as a switch. Perform the usual routine of disabling dhcp.More importantly, may be u can spill wat is the exact name and model of your streamyx router? That way we have more clues, thanks |

QUOTE(ahpek26 @ Nov 22 2018, 01:20 PM) Got turbo'd today at 4-5AM. Tested the speed (wired), only managed 130-140Mbps down, 106Mbps up, sadfaced. Call tm at 6AM, asked them to come check what's up. Surprise!! They came at 10AM same day, coincidence? good service? I asked them why they come so fast, is it because it's a turbo case but no, it's just coincidence since they're in the area, my good luck I guess. Wow, rm149 for 500M is a good deal, congrats, how u got there in da 1st place?Anyhow, he tested with his router (dlink, four antenna), 500Mbps down, shit.. my router is no good already. RIP asus rt-n16 (tomato firmware), you have been good to me for... 7 years (or more). Been using it since 4Mbps streamyx, 20Mbps unifi, 50Mbps unifi, 500Mbps (NOPE, too slow!). Went to digital mall, bought asus rt-ac86u, RM1549 rip. Apparently you need to tick "special requirements" in the wizard or else it will show "timeout waiting for pado packet" in the log. Fuuu, wasted like hour figuring that out. Anyhow, got it working, wired/wireless (5G): ![]() Wow, amazing, great. Paying RM149+6% (RM157.94) now. I was scheduled to get turbo'd next year, Jan to Jun 2019 but got expedited somehow. My plan was after Jun 2019 not upgraded will go to TMpoint and fucuk them upside down, either get upgrade to 500Mbps or reduce price. Got SMS on 13/11/18 will get turbo, got turbo'd today 22/11/18. Not bad TM. |

QUOTE(ahpek26 @ Nov 22 2018, 01:24 PM) From RM249 (vip 20), got discounted RM100, RM149. I went to TM point and persuade *wink wink* the manager/supervisor to give me discount for being a long time customer (with multiple unifi accounts). Took a week but it worked and that's the story. cannavaro, y dont u use him as example, haha, i reckon u dunid 800M anyway, since u also hold multiple accounts. U went tmpoint du i guess? Lots of successful negotiation came out from there.. |

QUOTE(rhytion @ Nov 22 2018, 01:42 PM) So I just received my bill for my Turbo 300, apparently the additional RM10 discount was given because the price for the internet increased from RM169 to RM179, so it remains the same. U aint da 1st, they slide the promo discount while increasing the base price, in the end, same lump sum. cannavaro posted this some time agoBefore: RM169 Internet + RM30 HyppTV - RM60 discount = RM139 After: RM179 Internet + RM30 HyppTV - RM70 discount = RM139 This post has been edited by imalmighty: Nov 22 2018, 02:14 PM |
