Previously is paying RM 179 for 100mbps RYE 2017 + ultimate + free voice.Early October 2018 remove Ruby Plus pack because I owned ultimate pack, thus discount another RM 30 for bill.

QUOTE(sgpdsmss @ Jan 3 2019, 10:27 AM) Last time when upgrade to 100mbps RYE 2017 package with ultimate n free voice from 50 mbps, 1 of the tnc mentioned ultimate pack removed will be remove all the discount. So i will not take risk RM 149 is pretty enough for me. |

I just done setup my new purchased router Asus AC86u (CNY 899 from taobao)
I connected to ASUS AC68 dual band adapter, the max link speed only 780 mbps (Edited: now I checked is 877mbps), but when I using TPLINK AC1200 that time, the max link speed which is 833 mbps. However speedtest during safe mode. AC86u can max up to 400 mbps TPLINK AC1200 can max up to 250 mbps. and another question, my laptop on Realtex Gbe Ethernet controller, but when i plug in Cat5e cable from router, it only show my max link speed 100 mbps, any setting needed on this? QUOTE(SilentVampire @ Jan 4 2019, 04:50 PM) I suggest you read 1st page, 1st post, green text, for general info about home networking and list of compatible routers. RTN12 does not support 300Mbps and only support N. You will need to change router. Yes, if you ask Unifi to change, you will have to be in contract again for a further 24 months. I recommend getting your OWN router. TM have to change your BTU or modem for free if it can't support the speed. No point using the router from last time as it won't support the new speed. Check router setting. QoS & AiProtection is disabled. Where to check the details of setting which need to disable? (Lol im noob in IT)Your device needs to be able to support the speed as well. You need at least 4x4 MIMO devices. Mobile phones is only 2x2 MIMO, so forget it. Laptop maybe 2x2 or 3x3 at the highest, so forget it. It is normal. Best is still wired. I suggest reading 1st page, 1st post, green text, for more info on general home networking. You probably need to disable a lot of things like QOS, AiProtection, and so on. Get another cable and test. You are probably using Cat 5 instead of Cast 5e, I recommend Cat 6. And yes you pointed it out, just now when I plug in my LAN n login router setting to check, WAN port - 1gbps (Cat6 cable) Lan1 - 100 mbps (Cat5e cable) - I confirmed in title of product I bought it is cat5e, else the Lazada seller put wrong info lo. I will find a replacement then. |

QUOTE(najminaruto @ Jan 5 2019, 10:44 AM) the ultimate package is downgradeable? or you are still in the 12 month commitment? Not downgradable. I remembered one of the tnc last time is remove ultimate will remove the extra discount.*if the package can be downgrade, you can lower your bill another RM 30. that would be the lowest in record, I guess. Your sig show ~100Mbps. Have you been "turbo-ed" to 800Mbps though? Yes I had been turboed from 100 Mbps Rye2017 to 800 Mbps on 19th of Dec18. |

Need expert again. I being changed to Asus AC86U
5ghz wifi download speed can go to more than 400 mbps (Asus AC68 adapter - Window 7 - i3-4150) LAN speed with Cat6 cable only can go up to 250 mbps. (Window 10 - AMD A9-9425) Both speedtest in safe mode. Any setting need to be done in router? or due to window 10 problem? or AMD processor problem? (I'm in 800mbps) |

QUOTE(leecwai @ Jan 6 2019, 09:26 AM) I want to apply for Unifi and my place is in the coverage. No. Currently TM only provide 100 mbps which is the highest plan. But I noticed that I can only subscribe to maximum 100Mbps plan. Is it possible to subscribe to higher plan? Thanks! (those 300/500/800 is for old user turbo upgrade, still not available in market) |

QUOTE(Spawny @ Jan 7 2019, 12:20 PM) Wow just went and check with Unifi support tea on my enquiry, they mentioned that the 10 bucks promotion is only for 24 months, after that back to RM289. do u remember when u upgrade?I was like WTF?? I was told you guys were only going to extend the contract to another 2 years but price will maintain, if i terminate it after 2 years i will lose my 800mbps speed. WTF should i do know? Anyone else that got upgraded such a way maintain the price after 24 months? 2017 or 2018? I remembered all RYE 2017 upgrade plan with RM 10 upgrade all have perpetual discount like all of us. I slightly remember for those upgrade during 2018 one have 24 months discount only instead (not so sure about this) |

QUOTE(eehong @ Jan 7 2019, 03:21 PM) i just got the turbo upgrade to 800Mbps. did speedtest via LAN cable, max DL speed is 200Mbps+, max UL speed 170Mbps+ I have the same issue with you even with ASUS AC86U.can anyone enlighten me here? below are my equipment: MODEM: FIBERHOME AN5506 (supplied by TM) ROUTER: ASUS RT-AC1200G+ *both equipment supports gigabit speed, as shown in ASUS router's configuration & Windows network page WAN speed: 1Gbps LAN speed: 1Gbps *I disable QoS on ASUS router. surprisingly the QoS makes the speed even slower speedtest was done on Ookla website browser: Google Chrome OS: Windows 10 Pro Not sure is it related to Window 10. Already speedtest in safe mode also same. Max 250 mbps in LAN speed. Have to try to find other pc with below Window 10 to test. |

QUOTE(isonic @ Jan 10 2019, 03:38 PM) Just get turbo to 300mbps No way to improve 2.4 GHZ speed as so many factors to cause congestion.Dlink 842 Wifi speed test results (standing near router) 5Ghz 230/mbps 2.4Ghz 70/mbps How to improve 2.4Ghz speed? Because my tv box is connecting by it. Suggest you to connect LAN to your TV Box, that's what I do for myself too. (my TV box even 5GHZ wifi are unstable). Btw 70 mbps if constantly & no drop line issue, should be no problem for just streaming. |
