Now that it is so difficult to buy online/offline, anyone has managed to sell via personal transfer at a higher price like rm1.01?

Morning! Unker already up.
Objectively speaking, if for $2820, pls self evaluate... If you have top up child SSPN.. Its a takaful n personal tax relief. Unless you already done that.

Personally, I don't believe we need to deposit big $$$  money on behalf children's account. But to physically  bring a child him/her to save at a bank to deposit n share the phylosophy!!! Later after u pass on, whether fd, kwsp, asnb, property if child in monination, money goes to him/her.

I know asnb FOMO, (fear of missing out), since its so tough to invest... Don't waster your energy spamming at 730am. See, most Unker's up by 530am, Elder Believe answers posts ard 2-4am.

Not discouraging you from investing. But pause n relook at your options. Stay connected daily. Once you read forumers shout 'salmon run', invest for the experience n thrill. Enuf burden in this world, dont add more stress to yourself.

Understand. Thanks Elder for your patience, Unker still fishless today, just playing with your mind!

But then, that's the principle of share trading.... Willing buyer, seller at dynamic price.

This FP fund....which is not even a Bond. This Asnb FP instrument only exists in Malaysia.

Can you throw some idea similar to what?

Hello Mummy, Daddy Paogeh,

Really, really in my mind... As another parent. Is to buy a medical insurance for your child/children.

I know when people younger, all feels indestructible as Superman. At young age, child premium very low. Also got savings one.

Touchwood, etc and you think company coverage etc. But fact is, Unker also from top USA MNCs in the past,... Such benefits will slowly deplete. If got spare cash, this is another alt investment.

Disclosure : Unker not promoting for insurance company, ok... Nanti kena yellow card pula.

Unker, your kids' insurance got COI increment by a lot in the past? Saw a few forummers saying their COI increased quite substantially these few years.

Feels like even with lower cost when young, by the time they reach a certain age, premiums will still increase even if no claims have been made due to the COI increments.

I've purchased and will monitor for a few years to see the trend. Always have the dilemma of sunk cost vs future cost in cases like this.

that's what i thought too. people say it's cheaper when start young. but when i look at the table, price increases with age. no difference starting young or old, except the cost at that age is cheaper.

Yeah, that's why I'm wondering if I should just let company insurance cover until I decide to retire and then only purchase.

Risk is if there's any serious illness and it'll be impossible to buy coverage then.

had a mixed feeling for this too.

mine 35k no rider as my parents cant afford. only edu fund.

turn out when I am 23, cash out is exactly the same as how much they put in....

what a rubbish policy.... pity my parent trsut the wrong people and no financial ideas.

Imagine 35k back then is so big. even put into FD is better!

But now the policy changed a lot compared to las time, still worthwhile to take it up if they have maturity benefit and rider at no extra cost.

Hello,

So, Unker's eldest 20s now, premium $200 coverage $1Mil. No change, so the message is Buyer Beware, do you due diligence on the policy.

Why Unker so into insurance. Based on my personal experience with colleagues, friends, own parents...
Unker has already footed>> $100K in donations/duty as a superior, colleague, friend, son, etc.

1. MNC Engineer - cancer. The hospitalization and annual leave used up. Gone into unpaid leave.

2. Colleagues Father - long term disease. He's a Penang Manager, only 1 father, fight lah...private hospital. Bill was > $200K.

3. Colleagues Mother - dementia. Colleague low level, nursing home till the old lady passed away.

4. My own operation....now Unker working for Company w/o insurance coverage. $60K including all the follow-up treatment. Paid thru own insurance.

5. Few years ago my own father - HCU, @ $3K/day. Every couple of days, hospital calls up Auntie to top up. Auntie tu-lan bring whole sling back of $10, $50 for them to count.

6. Friend a sup. Fall down bathroom n passed away. Wife not working, and a special needs child.

So to the youngling, when a person is down on luck n poor,...whether you have a $100k now or 20 years later, is still life-saving...don't look down on the amount.

Remember :
Money is an evil Dictator to the Needy; but a greater Slave to the Rich. So, use it wisely to help yourself, family, others where logical.
Similar with Insurance. Once you really need it, likely already too late!

Sorry, daughter's premium $200/month.

So, side track.... No#3, Unker monthly chipped in nursing care for like 5 years. The old lady passed away, one Sat dreamt of her. Bought the burial plot 4D - no luck.

On Sunday, late evening Auntie heard me shouted from downstairs, to buy same 4D. It came up 1st prize that night. Auntie says wah I so cool, ah? I said what cool? We both then realized, I already out from home since afternoon. So, who shouted out the 4D? This is every word true!

initially I thought 200 per annum, but that's too good for 1m coverage.

So the old lady don't want to owe you karmic debt la. Still got such nice people chipping in 1money for others ah? only in penang?

20+ years ago, 200/month is pretty big money. Guess the buffer for investment is sufficient to cover COI increments thus far. Should be ILP? How's the investment there going and any increments in COI above the predicted value so far? Wish I had access to more data to make decisions. biggrin.gif
