Just wonder what is the average speed can expect for this Digi infinite 150 plan? If more than 20 Mbps, should be good enough

I'm in my room doing test from my desktop connected using wifi dongle to my mobile phone which is using the Digi 150.

Change server and using USB tethering instead of wifi..



I'm not bothered my by the ping as I don't do online gaming. Its a temporary solution for me as Unifi not available in my area yet. Better than nothing.

but the speed cannot tahan. only 10mbps max.. I also offered by CS when I try to port out to maxis. previously on digi postpaid 80 (10gb) + roam like home for rm10 (promo price for 1yr). after I submit to port out, digi call me offer free upgrade to infinite 80 at rm50 monthly (rm30 rebate x12mths). I said not good enough coz I need the roam like home, they offer me rm10 but I declined. at last they reduced it to rm5 only. I ask how about my deposit to maxis? they said will refund it to me after I email the receipt.. quite good coz I got many rebates for the plan & roam like home (rm60 rebate x12mths). but I'm sad coz my speed is capped at 10mbps.. maybe next month will try to port out again. hmmm..

it might just mean your area is not covered by their 4G+, just like mine, i can get b3, b7 and b8, and can connect to both b3+7 and b3+b8 just fine (modem capable CA feature), but it will never be as fast as those people connected in 4G+ mode. I've seen ss of other ppl on the same band with about the same reading as mine, they get like 169mbps and i got only around 101mbps

Purchasing anything more than a CAT 4  LTE-A certified device/modem is a waste of money at the moment.

45Mbps is inaccurate. Effectively the full max you can go is 80% of 50Mbps with overheads involved with packets.

Thanks for your kind compassion but it's really true statement out of heart. Real world speed performance during peak hours (8pm-12am daily), download speeds are just slow due to the mobile carrier having to conserve for its LTE network.

Speedtests results are just superficial, try streaming a 720p or higher reso video from some Europe/US server and tell me your experience.
This is where fixed line cable networks prevail with their low ping times.

Oh and by the way sis, its not the brand that matters. It's the CPE/ME radio chipset inside the phone/CPE which matters most.
DiGi's LTE network is ZTE/Ericsson by large. You want excellent seamless connectivity, find a modem that uses ZTE chipset.
If its Ericsson equipment in your area, you're best with Qualcomm.
As for your Huawei, it's best used with Celcom or Maxis.

DiGi's international connectivity is good for Europe by experience but when it comes to connecting to China, Taiwan and Japan or even USA it fails to compete with Celcom, Umobile or Unifi Mobile.

For some reason, UMobile connectivity to China is very good followed by Celcom. There is a growing interests in this segment and content. 
Not possible unless because they're providing CGNAT. Also P2P traffic is highly discouraged on a mobile network where voice traffic is prioritized.It's not that they don't want to allow P2P, it's just that when this happens it risks itself from being flooded with too many connections which could cripple the network also used for essential voice calls and others.
That being said, even 5G still faces challenges to fully match fixed lines. The ping rates of 4G or even 4G+ has a long way to go to match fibre. This is very important for OTT based IPTV and on demand services.

Anyone know if we can activate internet sharing with the infinite 150 plan - for rm10 ?

I would like to get a data only sim for my ipad and use internet sharing for it
