Erm.. 1520 is the lowest end so I doubt 8600M GT is available on it. I believe that the components in our notebooks are as good as other top brands. The boring design is the only con for me.

If their design can match Sony Vaio...... imagine.. you can see people carry Dell notebook everywhere.

I believe if dell to add until 8400 GT also will not hurt much. 8400Gs is not that attractive for a graphic card, performance wise is around ATI x1450.Indeed it is a major increase if compare to G7400 but still not enough to say a major leap in low end graphic. Lucky enough it is not 8400G which is another crap. What so attractive is just Dx10. We will never know if this mobile graphic can run Dx10 any better given a mature driver.

At the current there'll be only 8400GS and 8600GT , so it'll consider 8600GT as high end.Dell will not include in some model now but later it will.
And don't forget 1520 or Insprion is a budget Dell model.

well...nvidia claim dat 8400 performance would b double compare to 7400...it seem dat at last dell will offer 8600 gc to their 15inch notebook series...(which almost similar with x1600 performance..might b better...not sure)

currently the highest gc available for 15inch notebook is x1400/7400...which is disapointed most of the user...including me...haih...

so i could say, this is a good move by dell...if u guys wanna hv higher than 8600..just grap 17inch notebook ler (which come with 7900gs/8800M maybe)

if they put 8800 (xample) into their 15inch notebook, i cant imagine the heat sweat.gif hehe...

btw, yeargh...i hate current inspiron design...the silver paint really make it look cheap...no class....boring...dull....etc etc...hehe...

btw, from the pic b4...it seems dat the so call new inspiron model oso look thick like current 1 laa...haih....

Still so thick... I think there might be reason for the thick design.

The performance of 8600 is just on par with x1600? I thought 7600 should be the one?

haiya dell malaysia the options very limited de..not like other country de dell website.

btw 8600gs has less pipelines than 8600gt but is clocked higher than gt...so somke games run good on gs while some run good on gt...3dmark06 scores alone of course gt higher..but in the end depends what game u play
