those all come from myself... how bout you do some study 1st before come and challenge?

if i happen to get a type-c power meter, i can measure and share here.. i only got usb power meter as of now...

I'm not sure if you can understand Chinese..Β

is actually limited by both phone and cable. Apple type-c got a MFI authentication chip, the phone need to read the chip in order to charge with 18W
Yes apple cable sucks big time since long time.. but no choice for now...

Haha, LOL πŸ˜‚

One more thing where did you quote this from?
Apple China support?

Ok ok you win 5 more streets, still back to topic.
I did my McDodo USB C PD cable was fine for Apple 30w PD.
Apple articles already meantion can be used with after markets cable with 29w, 30w, 61w with 87w PD for iPhone XS Max.

Please Apple haven’t release the 18W fast charger for market.

Will wait for these and test it out. πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

Checking Anker's website, they don't have type C to Lightning yet. I think probably due to Apple not certifying third party cables as of now.

Yes I do.. i just dont wan fault information to spread around.. because normal 5V 2.4A already charge with 12Watt, and apple PD charge only with 18W.  if wan to go budget might as well get a ipad charger and charge with normal cable. Its even budget than getting a expensive PD charger and use after market cable. It give you the same speed..

And NO! Ios 12.0.1 does not allow any third party usb c cable!

Bro, i know you are kind to share some good stuff, but dont share on your own perspective. Alot here come to learn and share new things.. i dont wish ppl to get wrong information.. No hard feeling...

I am using a 3rd party China made cable - it works very well charging both my ipxs Max and iPad mini

I'm referring to MFI certified third party cables... I doubt McDodo is MFI certified.

I have extra iPad 10W charger. I should be able to use this to charge XS Max, right? Better than the one Apple supplied in the box which is 5W.

Faster, but more heat. I use the Apple 10W and 12W as well too, but that's when I'm rushing. If not I just put on the 5W and leave it.

I am doing that with my current 6 Plus. But I'd like my upcoming X Max to last longer (battery life) and so I wonder if I should use 10W or the default 5W?

I also have the MacBook Pro 61W and a Apple USB-C to Lightning cable (company issue) but I guess I will only use this Fast Charge as a last minute - in case in a rush and need battery !

My intent is to prolong the battery life as long as possible...

So there is no MFI certified type C to lightning cable now? If in this case, then only Apple one can full speed.

Yes correct.

You dont even know a single shit you talk about.. you can use 30W, 45W 61W.. still iphone PD fast charge capped at 18W.

Dont let yourself look like a fool to defend your Mcdodo cable.. If you have no knowledge about electrical then do more study.

Sorry. i correct my statement. Ios 12.0.1 does support third party usb c cable but NOT PD FAST CHARGE.

Wow.. where did you get this information? apple dont even allow big company like aukey anker to produce MFI certified type-c lightning cable and this china mcdodo company got it?
once again proven you speak and judge with your own perspective. No point i debate here with you..

i just want to stress again, ONLY ONLY APPLE Type-c lightning cable able to PD fast charge now.

Should be fine. Although is not the 12W ipad pro charger, but it will do fine.

Use the 5W, it generates less heat = battery can last longer.
