submitted my termination notice for my TIME BB 500mbps. Need 30 days notice. Hence, it will be cancelling on Mar 20. In the next 12 months, I can save only RM300. This post has been edited by jack2: Feb 19 2024, 08:48 AM eauyong liked this post

QUOTE(eauyong @ Feb 20 2024, 12:59 PM) depend area. You need to test yourselfI tried with YES, MAXIS and UMOBILE. MAXIS the best They have stupid rule that downgrade would restart the contract from beginning to have another 24 months contract. Otherwise, I won't decide to terminate and look for 5G This post has been edited by jack2: Feb 20 2024, 01:08 PM eauyong liked this post

QUOTE(westlife @ Feb 21 2024, 11:45 AM) I tot all telcos actually use the same 5G infra by DNB? So technically the coverage and speed should be similar at the same area? I dunn. I am in open space inside jungle.Nice. But u tested it outdoor rite? If indoor the signal will get degraded and speed may not as high as this. Also 5G may appear to have high speed but the actual latency may not be so good for online gaming etc. It is a good alternative if one cannot use fibre broadband as a temperaily solution. eauyong liked this post

QUOTE(poweredbydiscuz @ Feb 22 2024, 09:31 AM) My 500mbps contract just ended and i'm thinking if i should renew it and get the rm20 monthly discount, which makes it rm119 before sst. better don't renew if you do have plan to change in future.Any news if there will be better offer/plan in the near future? Like me, I thought I will be using for long term hence to renew and get their crap modem+MESH router but it is cheap one. |

QUOTE(CommodoreAmiga @ Feb 22 2024, 10:43 AM) Hmm...i have just check with their LIVE chat support. Seems like no need to do anything on their end. For the record, last time i use my own WIFI router also didn't call them if i remember correctly. Just swap out with my own TP Link router. got picture which MESH router they are given?I have just renewed. Will use long term, now thinking if i can switch to the get 1st month free instead of the MESH router instead... |

QUOTE(BladeRider88 @ Feb 22 2024, 05:22 PM) Mine one is Huawei Optixstar HG8145X6 without -10. Yours one has 10 stated? The MESH is not as good as TP-link. Sometimes I am nearby the 2nd unit and it is still connected to the main unit whereby my phone WIFI signal is not full. QUOTE(westlife @ Feb 22 2024, 09:17 PM) I can't wait to get it cancelled, but still has 27 days to go...look like a long waiting days! This post has been edited by jack2: Feb 23 2024, 09:14 AM |

QUOTE(BladeRider88 @ Feb 23 2024, 10:23 AM) I not so sure abt mine..as I did not use the mesh setup at all. Later i check the box and update you. any recommendations for the mesh that you said?During the Time installer setup, i requested to use my own asus router, so he just setup one of the Huawei router only. Yes, you needed to wait for 30 days, same thing happened to mine when I submit my termination request to Unifi. It feels like half year LOL One thing for sure the Mesh won't be as good as those 3rd party mesh setup. Go for custom solutions if you really wanted a good wifi signal coverage |

QUOTE(BladeRider88 @ Feb 23 2024, 11:07 AM) For my case, i am using 1Gbps plan with my own asus wifi 6 router. and my phone is Samsung S22 Ultra, i can get 925Mbps download and 497Mbps upload. So kaya lo u, using 1G plan... I am terminating from TIME BB to 5G to save cost.As for the mesh, I can hit 530Mbps download and 209 upload So if your line is 500M, and give your router & device are WiFi 6, should be able to achieve max speed ( and of course you need to stand in front of the router to hit max speed with wifi) |

QUOTE(muncheno @ Feb 23 2024, 12:29 PM) Saving is the same, both also save you RM240 for 2 years contract. Yes, they don't care when you already be their subscribers. The loyalty program is only applicable for those who are at 20 or above months in each contract period and it is NOT counted from since joined...But as new account get you a free modem. After 2 years, we expect broadband should be cheaper or faster anyhow. Time didn't appreciate the long time user very much nowadays. I been using this TIME account since 2014. I do feel reluctant to give away the seniority and start again as newbie, but free modem + RM240 + RM100 (for friend) is not a bad deal for the trouble. Because gather new subscribers can only increase their earnings but at the same time, existing clients lari also even before contract is expired. I think it is unfair to have 30 days notice period sedangkan early termination is compounded with RM500, but still need to wait 30 days. If everyone boycotts not to sign any package with contract, I believe the consequences will be the Meddi or StaBuc jjj2 liked this post

QUOTE(jjj2 @ Feb 25 2024, 07:31 PM) If they already penalized you with RM500, there is no need to give 1 month notice & get charged another 1 more month. No woh. They asked me to give 30 days notice regardless if you terminate before expiry or after expiry. How do I cancel TIME services? If there's really no turning back, please submit your request to us. TIME requires a notice period of a maximum of 30 working days before your next bill cycle. This post has been edited by jack2: Feb 26 2024, 12:46 AM |
