Hello ,, I am planning to sign up for TIme fibre 600mbps ..which my condo is with available port.

Please help help me with some questions here
1) my 600 Mbps time package come with wifi router .. HG 8145X6 ..can I totally replace it with a better wifi 6E  or wifi 7 Mesh system.
If your X6 is served as ONT (aka fiber modem + Router), then you can request the SI or CS (sorry we are not allowed to provide the login) to switch it to bridge mode for you to hook up your own Router.

2) refer to the photo of the devices given .. is the orange arrow refer as the MODEM..
That is Huawei HN8245X6S-8N-30 ONT.

The TIME sales person handling my application are reluctant to answer me.

I told him I wanna be sure my new house can uses wifi 6E / wifi 7 ..

He just quoted that I can ask the technician upon installation .. which is not favorable to me ..

Avoid these kind of agents, before activation already performing in such way, imagine what will happen after activation.

which is the best router/modem solution for 3600 sqft home at 200mbps time speed. currently use deco. not getting full speed.

so I get the TIME  Technician to set the HG 8145x6 to bridge .. and set the pppoe to my new wifi 7 mesh router..

You can get the SI to set X6 to bridge, but for the PPPOE to your router, this is customer's own device, they have the right to charge if they want to do.

Modem will be set in the living room marked RED star .. ..running on RJ45 to my setup Router on the blue box .. on the living hall
Is there a Equipment Distribution Box (soho box) at the spot you marked with Star ?

as you can see the position of the router placement .. wifi signal is  beam directly .. to the bed room I .. which  I had converted it to study room .. with 2 PC
connect of RJ 45 via this mesh node 1(wireless backhaul connection)  .. and hopefully my mastered room Mesh node 2 ..



Does this connection / Pairing works  well ..

please give me advice...

I prefer to be over planned,, than to be under planned .. ( and dealing with blind spot )

I allocated budget of 1600 ringgit for the 3 mesh wifi .. not sure about wifi 6E or wifi 7

and I have no intention to upgrade my TIME package to 1Gb plan .. 600mbps .. is enough for me and my wife ..

I bought from TP-Link official store. But I suggest you just go for the cheapest store.

Anyway, placed ordered for 200Mbps initially, but only realized that 200Mbps behind CGNAT. End up call them to withdraw the 200Mbps and submit 600Mbps package.

Technician came to install the broadband today. They only setup the main router since I don't need the mesh. I am using the TP-Link BE550. And I am less impressed with TIME technician compared to Maxis/UniFi technician I dealt last time. They don't even do speedtest with the main router. And I do not get the 600M/500M speed.
I can only get 530M/350M speed with LAN.

Gonna submit report to TIME. And as per someone comment, speed to China really shitty. Aqara app keep connection timeout when connect to CN server.

This is vague because the "Ninja" said can only check after the installation. And couldn't tell able to change to non-CGNAT or not. If they can't change, then I am gonna stuck with 200Mbps for the next 2 years.

i double checked my old wifi router the PPPoE settings, it is exactly the same...

why the new one is not working??
Sometimes you need to wait about 1-2 hours as the previous pppoe session still active with the old router.

i am using bridge mode meaning huawei wifi router by time -> my wifi router
No issue with that.

could it becos the mac address? which time side remember the mac address of my existing wifi router, and does not allow me to use the new one??

is time broadband recommended?

any1 tried their fiber wired package? to setup fiber in the home. any good?

any reco? what is better? 

i'm perfectly ok with 100-300 mbps. cheapest if possible but reliable.

Time fiber early termination is rm500 regardless of how many remaining month before contract end ?

I am thinking to take up maxis rm159 for 1Gbps package, time fiber just too slow access to china site especially I am using taobao quite often which really really slow.

My C1200 is acting up again tonight, power button turn on then every single light turn on then after a while gone and no connections.

Sifu any recommendation for new router? should i get the Mercusys MR80X or is there any new one around that price?

Not really an upgrade completely.

Previously u get 2 x wifi 6 mesh router and now u get only 1 x wifi 7 router for the same plan. Not sure how good 1 x unit of wifi 7 router will perform comparing to 2 x wifi 6 mesh.

Very long time i didnt subscribe to Time broadband..last time their internet is superior. And now they are available at my landed taman. Is Time still better than tm and maxxs?

But 1 thing was the PPPoE password provided in the time app was different from the one required for this ONT (there is an extra character)
I tried for almost an hour and almost gave up until I went and look back at the old modem credentials and saw that it was different.

Btw how do I get the mesh to work? I'm supposed to get both routers WPS light blinking right?

Hi guys, may I ask how do I setup another unit of HG8145X6-10 from TIME as a mesh? I thought the setup would be easy since two units are the same model but I think I ended up setting it as AP instead (I placed the second unit in another room and could only access Internet via Ethernet connection. The WLAN indicator does not light on.)

Would also like to ask if it is normal to have 2 SSID under 5G?

Hi all, I just installed time fiber in my home and I was provided with the huawei products. I do have my own router which I plan to use together with POE wifi 6 mesh products. My question is can I plug in the fiber into my router and enter the PPOE details? or does the fiber dont require that. I am new to the direct fiber link btw as all this time I have been using standard coaxile.
