Yeah. I got the PLOAM password, It's the same as the PPPoE password like Anime4000 noticed. Can't really do anything with it if I don't have the superadmin password to set up.

By loose, I mean, the fibre connector can be easily removed and slight movement can degrade the reading. It's not that big of a deal.

I just installed Time broadband 500mbps today. Original Huawei HG8145X6-10 Fiber Termination Unit + builtin WiFi 6 Wireless router.
Run speed test with Mac Book Pro WiFi 6 laptop.

Can Original Huawei HG8145X6-10 use ethernet backhaul to connect 2nd mesh unit?

Hi, I would like to retreat my statement that Huawei Optixstar HG8145X6-10 not implementing 802.11k/v/r protocol.
My previous test showed that my device didn't switch between SSID from main router and 2nd router due to default setting of the
Cascade Link Threshold value is too low, i.e., 200kbps.
Meaning that if the device's data transfer rate lower than 200kbps then it will switch to another SSID that is stronger.
After I increased the cascade link threshold from 200kbps to 40000kbps, my device able to switch between main router and 2nd mesh unit's SSID seamlessly.

Conclusion is Huawei Optixstar HG8145X6-10 is compliant to Easymesh and able to switch between SSID seamlessly.

Hi, my contract expire on Nov 2023 and i received call from TIME today to renew the contract. They offered cash back another RM10 (which gonna total up =RM20) or change router and forfeit RM20 cash back.

I am still currently using the old cube mesh router by TIME few years back. Should I change route by TIME or take the cash back and buy router myself?

P/S: Would like to upgrade the router abit as current 1 performance so so, coverage quite weak.

AND any recommended router? IM currently on 500mbps plan.

Hi, OP. do you know usually how long it takes for the fiber deployment to live? because my apartment here just got contractor from Time deploy the cable and mount the termination panel here and they completed it last month right before independence day, but until now i still don't see my apartment being listed in service coverage.



I do plan to switch to Time on early next month if possible as my contract with existing one ends this month.

Poor performance I can understand. But explaining technical details to their level 3 support they also don't understand. How to troubleshoot?
They only blame the next hop to Singapore that caused the packets to drop and nothing they can do.

I already fed up after mcmc process. This week is the termination week for allo/city bodoband (whatever you called)

Hi guys, what is a good Wifi 6/6E mesh router to use? I have a very large condo. I have been a long time TIME user however in recent times, there are many drop outs, esp at night and night performance is terrible. I have called TIME and they claimed to have reboot my connection on their end. It did improve but the drop outs and slow performance is still there. My current TP LINK mesh router is Wifi 5 so thought of upgrading anyhow.

Edited: Just contacted CS, they say my modem cannot change to bridge mode.
Call again..tell them you want to use your own router to dial pppoe.

Does anyone know if I can use a different router like TP ax73 or mercusys mr90 and link the HG8145X6 as slave mesh or they aren't compatible with each other? I'm connecting via a different hg8240h ONT modem.

Thanks @jjj2. It mostly happens at night but intermittently during the day I also experience it. What do you recommend I do next? I have already called time and they've rebooted the connection on their end.

Currently on  Huawei WA8021V5 (Router) and my mesh system is on Deco M4 (Mesh 2 nodes).
Ditch this crappy WA8021V5, and upgrade to a new WiFi6 Mesh System like TPlink Deco.

Is there any suggestions to upgrade this setup? Sometime's I'm getting packet loss during gaming session. Thank you

TIME 300mbps

Hi! Has anyone experienced connection issue via WiFi from a device to Time's Huawei HG8145X6 router with a sudden "Incorrect Password"?

I reboot it once a week, up to now no issues. And it's not DHCP issue as I tried with setting a device with static IP and there was still the problem reoccurring the next day.
I need to wait several minutes for the connection to resume properly.

May I know how to update the Huawei router?

Tiktok, Amazon, Google all started asking me to solve security captcha.

I checked my IP and other previous random  IPs in the range of (202.184.x.x - 202.186.x.x) for blacklist and they are all listed.

Correct me if I'm from but from what I understand and assume some of the time IP ranges got blacklisted because of some users sending spam emails/etc.. and because of that the security captchas are appearing? Also why don't time just block outgoing emails like unifi to prevent this?

Anyone one having frequent dc issue for Huawei WA8021V5? Need to restart or reconnect to get it work again. Main unit is no dc.
If would to resolve this. What is the recommend solution beside below?
1. Remian main unit and buy another HG8145X6 unit as meah instead of WA8021V5
Not recommended as well as the X6 is also performing below average.
2. Change main unit HG8145X6 to bridge mode, pppoe with xiaomi mesh or deco mesh
Preferable, get a Deco Mesh like XE75 if that is within your budget.

I may switch to Unifi if they have no plans to reduce the pricing.
