QUOTE(PJng @ Mar 29 2024, 10:38 AM) .https://www.u.com.my/en/personal/mobile-pla...mobile-internet - about the Prepaid UMI30 plan. AFAIK, your UMI30 already gives you high-speed or unlimited speed but has data caps/quotas/limits. If you have reached the data-quota/cap/limit = speed throttled to 0.5Mbps or 64kbps or 0kbps, you may need to buy data booster top-ups. . |

QUOTE(am84496 @ Mar 22 2024, 04:33 PM) How does it work for the validity for those U25, U35 prepaid monthly plan? I still need to reload RM30 for 30 days even though I subscribe U25 that is valid for 30 days? It's a separate thing? yes separate. funny and weird. For plan <30, yes need to reload rm30 first then only buy plan. While for >30 example gx38, if u buy the plan directly without reload, number validity will become 38 days but then plan validity only 30 days. |

hello, anyone having issues with their umobile since after the mocn signup with celcomdigi?
multiple phones in my household lock on to celcomdigi 2g and just stay there without internet until restart phone happens on iphone and android, but is more of an issue with the android wouldnt be much of a problem if we had internet, but edge internet is blocked when on 2g, even with roaming turned on missing a lot of calls and messages, but dont know what to do because umobile 4g is still i feel the best in KV |

Hmm something interesting happen today.
I reloaded RM 15 into my umobile prepaid, extended to 15 days for expiry. Then subscribe to Borneo 20 (RM15/month). Magically now my main balance expiry extended until 1st May 2024. |

Fyi, ....... https://www.lowyat.net/2024/319681/mcmc-mob...affected-msqos/ - MCMC: Current Mobile Plans Not Affected By New Standard The revised Mandatory Standards for Quality of Service (MSQoS) is set to come into effect next month. - 29 March 2024 .... “Consumer plans below 7.7Mbps will not change after April 1,” the commission said via a statement issued to The Star. “This is because [it is] a mandatory standard on QoS (quality of service), and does not impact product offerings.” ... On the possibility of regulating mobile data plans to ensure a mandatory minimum speed, it said it is important to offer various tiers of service to cater to diverse consumer needs. The minimum speed provided, the commission added, is governed by the service providers’ terms of network performance. ... https://soyacincau.com/2024/03/04/malaysia-...uirement-4g-5g/ - 2024/03/04 - malaysia-set-minimum-download- MSQoS -requirement- 4G, 5G - Malaysia to raise Mandatory minimum download standards to 7.7Mbps in April, 10Mbps from 2025 So, those old or grandfathered U Mobile Prepaid and Postpaid 4G phone plans that were offered at download speeds of <7.7Mbps will not be affected, ie no change, eg GX30 (6Mbps)/GX50 (5Mbps). AFAIK, the new MSQoS only requires celcos to have a minimum download speed of 7.7Mbps for their 4G network, which they can throttle to lower speeds in their phone plan offers and when phone subscribers exceeded it's FUP limits. . |

. I don't think so. The latest Postpaid U38, U68 and U98 support 5G/4G/2G. Likely need to go to U Mobile SC if want to change from the old Postpaid GX68 to the latest Postpaid 4G/5G smartphone "U" plans. . [/quote Thanks, was thinking should I change but then GX 68 is unlimited data and the speed is quite fast at my hometown compared to in Klang Valley area.... Need to choose to keep unlimited data or cheaper plan |
