No, Maxis Hotlink was not straightforward. Maxis only revealed its FUP limits for its new 4-June Hotlink Unlimited Prepaid daily, weekly and monthly passes after 3 days(ie on night of 6 June 2020) when confronted by users who tested its "unlimited" daily RM3 passes to be throttled at the 5GB limit.
....... Is Maxis's FUP limit of 50GB per month for its HUP35/45 plans fair and reasonable.? Is a HUP45 subscriber using >50GB per month abusive of Maxis's 4G network.?

So far, most celcos do not publish their FUP limits for their "unlimited" 4G phone plans on their websites = mostly revealed from tests by users, eg on forums and support sites. Hence, we know that Maxis's postpaid "unlimited" premium/high-end 4G phone plans have an FUP limit of 300GB per month, Digi's postpaid "unlimited Infinite 150 plan has an FUP limit of 1TB(= throttled to 5Mbps), TM Unifi Mobile's postpaid "unlimited" RM59 plan promo has an FUP limit of 50GB per month(= throttled to 3Mbps) and UMobile's "unlimited" GX plans have a normal FUP limit of about 100GB(= but not enforced since Dec 2019). .......
