Bro, this is 2014 GM6 passenger side. I was sitting behind and I just realized got two exposed areas. Is this normal or was there a cover before?

QUOTE(gsan @ Jan 12 2020, 11:16 AM) Any suitable stocks for 2014 V spec? Also do you stock those reverse sensor eye? (the 4 eye version).QUOTE(mls_gamer @ Jan 23 2020, 04:59 PM) Wao, you really lucky.. This reminds of me my 2006 Myvi first gen, the ECU was faulty. Eventually had to replace the ECU, 2k+my case the rpm jump from 800rpm to 1300rpm range during idle with aircond on. Now even with aircond on and idle.. rpm in between 700rpm to 900rpm... The idle rev when aircond kicks goes up to 1.8k rpm This post has been edited by celciuz: Jan 23 2020, 05:15 PM |

QUOTE(babylon52281 @ Mar 10 2020, 10:44 AM) If ur car still under warranty, get it replace by Honda SC. If self-replace, you might void some kinda warranty, its at ur own cost, and you will need to pay money to spray the sensor cover. No longer under warranty, that's why sourcing outside. GM6 already 5 years+, wife's car is first batch April 2014 I think. |

I kept up my payments so it doesn't apply to me. |

QUOTE(jojo_g2 @ May 11 2020, 11:56 AM) what the hell is wrong with this car, barely one year. Rear axle issue with the GM6... hmm, wife's car is 90k and no such issue (and lady drivers don't give a crap about driving slow on bumps...ala roller coaster). Or is this only on the FL? But this problem seems similar with the HR-V.mth 5, less than 4000km mileage, rear axle broke/spoilt. passing speed bump or any bumps with minimum speed have creaking noise from rear, send to SC and they replace, could not answer me why a brand new car have this issue. mth10, 2 - 3 times car would'nt start. first we thought its the battery. replaced, and started. but happened again another 2 times. in the end, had to have the car towed. SC said normal issue, fuel pump. asked, did I pump shell 97? I said yes... they say, ha... this is common issue. compatibility issue with the fuel. WHAT the HECK???? what is HONDA doing? giving shitty parts in brand new CAR??? and worst part, the rear axle is acting up again..... really disappointing, macam la... we all like to be stranded? * OH yea.., wanted to call HONDA Malaysia to complain, their hotline and support line all have a MCO message saying they are not working!!!! Shell 97 been giving issues not just to City, a lot Civic owners were impacted too and if you looked around those Myvi as well. What happens is the Shell 97 causes jelly build up on the filter, and thus causing the fuel pump to overwork, overheat and then spoilt. My dad drives a Nissan J32 2.5L V6, frequent Shell user... also kena fuel pump issue. Suspect something with the formulation causing this... or just Shell has bigger user base thus seeing more of these issue. |

QUOTE(hc7840 @ May 11 2020, 12:19 PM) So far commonality is Shell 97, I'm using BHP 97 and Petronas 97 so far still ok.QUOTE(jojo_g2 @ May 11 2020, 12:37 PM) come on, shell fuel issue? every car oso affected lo like that? cannot be blaming it on the fuel. And I specifically ask the tech last nite, then? this new car cannot use shell97? he says.. no. After change fuel pump, won't have this issue. So? same as my original question, WHAT THE HECK is wrong with honda delivering cars that has issue? Shell didn't drive nicely on my Civic anyways, I did fuel up Shell on first tank (cause Shell was beside the Honda LOL) but car felt sluggish and different from test drive... after that swapped to BHP and now Petronas much more better throttle response. So not complaining about not being able to use Shell 97 here. |

QUOTE(gsan @ May 11 2020, 09:17 PM) QUOTE(cempedaklife @ May 11 2020, 09:41 PM) Likely the same filter which causes jelly build up on Shell 97, more jelly = fuel pump works harder then overheat. And apparently new Myvi kena as well. |

QUOTE(Zaryl @ May 11 2020, 11:16 PM) It’s not due to shell RON97 or any other petrol brands for that matter. Interesting, from the Civic FC community seems there are few guys who had their fuel pump failing for second time after replacement (Shell 97 hardcore users). I talked to my usual SC on this, and he showed me the circular from HM which is the filter clogged up by jelly substance. Some instances, where the fuel pump haven't koyak completely they change the filter (not the strainer set) think that one was about rm300+ on the receipt, if whole set fuel pump I recall about 2k.It’s due to the FUEL PUMP made from Denso brand manufactured in Indonesia is the main root cause of the infamous problem. For cars batch late 2018 till now have this problem including the new myvi model. Honda BRV late 2018 also got the same problem. What Honda Malaysia did was to replace the fuel pump ordered directly from Japan. Solved the problem. My Honda city hybrid bought in April 2018 & Honda BRV bought in August 2017 been drinking Shell RON97 ONLY since day 1 i bought the cars. No problem whatsoever with the fuel pump. |

QUOTE(babylon52281 @ May 12 2020, 05:56 PM) It could be either tank contamination (if station specific) or due to a bad batch of fuel. I have used Shell97 from way back then so I don't know why it can cause problems, perhaps due to EURO4M new formulation? Could be, but the issues started surfacing around the time Dynaflex is introduced. QUOTE(jojo_g2 @ May 13 2020, 09:30 AM) My SC have just called and said fuel pump replaced. Did not tell me what brand or type they replaced yet, but assured me that there wont be any problems with ron97 fuel anymore. So, fingers crossed they've replaced it with the one's made in Japan. How much for the fuel pump on the receipt? 300+ or 2k+?As for the rear axle issue, I am concerned as their official answer to me is no problem whatsoever with the replaced rear axle, they checked and "tighten" this and that. And asked me to try it and if the problem persists, "come back on the next service"... that last part is hard to take, now that I've thought about it. Maybe I was glad to finally have the car back and felt relieved that I didn't realized that I've just been fed another unsatisfactory answer to a different issue on the car. QUOTE(steventan85 @ May 13 2020, 03:03 PM) Caltex generally has lesser stations versus Shell... Shell 97 appear quite frequently associated with fuel pump topic. This post has been edited by celciuz: May 13 2020, 03:16 PM |

City 2020 make only comes with @Rm3000 discount. Still can demand so high meh even with falling sales and new model incoming? Or Honda MY still dreaming their City is the best value today? |

QUOTE(babylon52281 @ May 14 2020, 01:50 PM) Unsure. From MAA last data, it seems new Vios has robbed them a lot of car sales. Plus with MCO and plus incoming new model, I was expecting them to give minimum Rm5000 discount for 2020 make cars. Rm3000 discount is something they were offering since b4 MCO so i'm not sure what their thinking. At least around my area, the new Vios is rare breed while the City FL is everywhere. |

QUOTE(evilhomura89 @ May 15 2020, 07:45 PM) In my case, under description it was mentioned the following: Earlier there's always the 2k+ repair for fuel pump among Civic FC, but right now this type of RM300+ repairs are appearing as well now... this might be specific swaps instead of the entire module... Honda Malaysia trying to cut down the repair costs now I see.1. "Strainer, Fuel" - RM75 Labor Price 2. Set F/Pump & L/N - RM277.50 Part Price Under remark it says "Replace fuel pump repair kit" Means they only changed the filter? I suppose there's chances of the same thing happening again? |

QUOTE(steventan85 @ May 25 2020, 09:57 PM) The battery tester cost around Rm100.can easily get it from lazada. Normally I will use it when I going to travel outstation. https://www.lazada.com.my/products/original...B7v81j&search=1Is this the one you're using? When you use the Bosch C7, do you need to unplug battery from the car system? Meaning the car will be out of power ah? This post has been edited by celciuz: May 26 2020, 12:04 AM |
