PM me link. And how much?

Mine need replacement also.

Honda quality so shit nowadays.

By the way, you need to remove bumper and back boot carpet and trim.

I got it from here https://shopee.com.my/product/206220728/6713112161

I asked a friend of mine who is a foreman at Honda, he told me for reverse sensor replacement GM6 no need remove bumper. For him is easy task, I guess they are pretty used to replace these sensors... but he told me for them they jacked the car up so its easy to remove with 1 hand. Tsk he made it sound so simple.

yes, if you have the car jack. I mean like those to replace the car tyre in tyre shop.

You have to jack it up quite high to be able to access it from the bottom and see clearly.

Probably will send to shop for replacement if need open bumper sad.gif

I would advice not to be too relaxed. Just like the airbag issue recall, the listing could be updated and your car might "suddenly" be affected without any notice and you might not be informed. So best to check the recall website periodically.
*
These automotive company normally will extend the list depending on the trend of failures, cause usually first phase is the most risky... then eventually those "less risky" parts also affected so they will start to recall too. I work in ATV semiconductor so usually this is how it works, these car manufacturers rarely want a recall like this unless it is really bad. Usually start smaller, then extend out.

Yeah, I too was surprise by the stated price. I thought it is more expensive.
The workmanship is really poor. Last week I sent for windshield replacement, one technician was complaining to me that some owner are being to fussy and keep complaining makes their life difficult. Now I think some complaint are reasonable and the technicians are just being ignorant.
*
Fuel pump is about 2k, but yours seems like replacing specific components likely to keep the cost down. Civic's for example earlier the receipts I've seen are 2k+, then right now majority is RM300+ instead.

LOL, well... those technician are usually the uhh.. crappier ones. The good ones tend to do good job normally lah.

Nope. The good ones tend to leave and setup their own bengkel, leaving the crappier ones behind  tongue.gif

sweat.gif I guess some of the good ones gets promoted up as Service Manager or something so... less hands on leaving the newbies handling your cars haha...

Sent my car for fuel pump recall. SA told me they only replace the electrical component of the pump, not the whole pump assembly. Dropped car at 9am, kowtim at noon.
According to SA, unrectified cars won't lose power while driving. It's just that the car might not be able to start after you shut down the engine. Not sure how true.
That's probably why people think bigger tyres automatically mean more grip (friction) because "my car now takes corners better after I upsized".
*
That explains the RM300+ receipts versus the RM2k+ seen much earlier...

Let's see if the Kupang97 still ok or not LOL. Electronics doesn't seem to be tied to that... perhaps there's more users on it anyways.

For 2 PS more? Pfft! You'll have to make it work harder to get the same performance. Might have been compelling if it came as 1.3T 4cyl but with a Kelisa displacement and 1 cyl less, you will feel more vibration than more power on tap if you try to wring it. Sorry but that engine is built more for economy rather than performance.

Fine for Ah Bengs that want to smoke people at every traffic light. But with our lethargic CVT tranny & sticking to D mode in ECO drive, you won't feel the extra torque.

In my Persona manual, I can outacclerate Beemers from start because I can keep my car's torque delivery on tap far longer than a Beemer tranny will move up gears.
*
hmm.gif okay interesting. Well I'm used to turbo and even on CVT 220Nm is fun biggrin.gif.

Depends on how the car is setup. If that 220Nm was in a Bsegment pocket rocket, even CVT tranny will be tuned for a sporty response. But if that was in a Civic TCP or Accord, the pickup is still laggy IMO (I tested Civic TCP before buying City). I think because in these cars, the setup was more for economy than say sporty like CTR.
*
Oh well, good for you smile.gif

I was driving the 1.3 Myvi, so the City GM6 was indeed a very powerful 1.5L until I got the TC-P. Every now and then when I drive the City, well I just hate the lack of low end torque despite car is lighter.

I didn't know you have a TCP. I was comparing my experience sitting in my friends Jetta 1.4TSI & Pug 308 1.6T and the pickups for both these cars were something I came to expect from a turbo car, but when I test drove the TCP I was quite underwhelmed. Acceleration didn't quite feel instantaneous and there's the harsh engine noise.
*
I did test drive the Jetta back in 2017 when I did a test drive spree for the C segments around. The engine didn’t leave an impression to me (but the handling definitely did but the interior really 🙈 can not accept when it’s 2017), the only other turbo I tried was the 408 and the Elantra sports... Civic was the safer bet 😂

As I’ve driven the City and also I used to drive dad’s Teana 2.5 V6 which has also CVT gearbox I didn’t expect much from the Civic but can say the rubber banding is pretty much the most refined among the 3.

Did also tried cars like Altis (ew) and Sylphy (even more ew 😅).

Well I’m used to driving turbo, so if I were to buy a City now... I’ll go for the turbo if it’s available 😂 next car I’ll probably get one of those electric, sweet torque. Geely please make one? 🤩

So my car reverse sensor decided to give problems despite not knocking into any object, 1 month after my 5 years warranty lapsed. The last time it happened was like 4 years ago and it took me 3 visits to the service center to fix it(1st time it decided to play nice, 2nd time to confirm , 3rd time to replace it). It started happening after yesterday's thunderstorm around Putrajaya/Cyberjaya area around 12pm to 2pm. Most of the shopkeepers are saying need to replace all 4 of them. It's like RM100 a piece and labor is RM50 as they need to remove the bumper. When I took it took the shop it was working fine. Seems to be quite random. I asked the shopkeepers if there's a way to tell which sensor is misbehaving and they all said no. Is this true?
*
Hmm, SC was able to pin point which sensor having issue though. Maybe they removed the bumper to check perhaps. To make it obvious, hot weather will aggravate the issue.

Okay, i noticed something weird on my car sensors. When the weather is extremely hot, it seems to function fine but as night falls or morning it starts misbehaving.
*
hmm.gif sorta reverse of what I face and commonly though as what the SC told me... when i asked to check they like said put the car out first to get it heated up then troubleshoot.

So I took my car over to SC to inspect only why the reverse sensor is misbehaving. Just for inspection it's RM85. FYI my car warranty just ended back in June this year. I decided not to proceed with the inspection. Anyone know if this rate is standard?
*
Mine is out of warranty too, I requested SC to check for me during service no additional charges. Found the most left eye is faulty, stupid thing is they reattached and did not remove for me 😅 probably so I would replace it there after being annoyed by the sound.

Hi.
I started hearing some faint tictictic sound, somewhere at the dashboard and the driver side door.

I ready quite some people has it, actually wheres the source and can the SC fix it?
*
Does it goes off when you step on the brakes? If yes, that's the VSA modulator. Need go SC.

Wears out and doesn't work after 3-6 months.

If you rajin wipe _window_ (not mirror), then it'll work for 3-6 months. If malas clean window, when heavy downpour and standstill jam, your  _window_ will get water droplet'd then you can't see through the window to see the mirrors.

For the plastic film, after 3-6 months will have microscratches on the film, then water droplets continue will stick on the film and you're back to square 1; water droplets on the mirror.
After expired, you peel off the film, it will leave the glue mark on your mirror unless you clean the surface properly.

shopee they sell in 2 items;
1) those tiny round ones for mirror
2) big rectangle piece to stick on window (to fix what I said above about seeing through the window to see the mirrors)

I worried the rectangle piece will interfere with power window and rubber lining, so didn't pursue further. And it looks dumb.
Everyday need to wind down window to push button, so rather not take risk.
*
Could consider something like Soft99 Mirror Coat Zero instead, works too but gives a whitish tint on the mirror.

Thanks for the input. I did try out Glaco Mirror Coat but perhaps due to my poor spraypaint skills, the layer is applied uneven. I thought can try something that requires less skills

I also am wary to try something meant for windows onto my mirrors. I once tried a car window cleaner(that worked well) on my mirrors and it caused the reflective surface to corrode. Lesson learnt.
*
Acid based glass cleaner? Those are going to turn out bad... but eh, how does it corrode the reflective surface which is on the inner side though?

Frankly, I didn't quite like mirror coat zero too haha! Can't get it right, so I'm just using mine for reverse camera lens LOL.

Keyfob battery can sometimes go bad without warning. My case the first replacement was when the car shown keyfob battery icon lit, the 2nd replacement  just 1 year later came w/o warning and I thought it was my car battery gone bad. Finally found out was my keyfob battery was quite old by the time I used it.
*
So far if 1 keyfob showing this error.. other one will fail soon. So I normally just replace both batteries together biggrin.gif.

My wife’s city has this too but already out of warranty… my Civic has it too, another forumer commented his compressor faulty causing gas leakage. He got it replaced.

My Civic initially also got sound then they top up gas it went away for sometime then recently came back.
