Anyone here tested the FL jazz against their FL city?

I rent Jazz for a day, the acceleration response is not as quick as my city and the gearbox feel lazy when i floor the pedal. When put gear into S only feel the same like my city. Similar engine but perhaps different mapping and tuning from city? The jazz gear have D, S and L gear
*
I tested the Jazz twice before deciding to buy City due to higher equipment level in City and full leather seats.

I find the Jazz nicer to drive (more agile), with much greater driving visibility due to the larger front windows and the quarter glass on both sides. Unable to detect power difference as it was only a short drive and I didn't have a City then.

not able to slide eh, for city 2019 @@

There should be a little plastic catch at the base of the section. You either need to lift or push it down. Then you slide the mirror (can't remember up or down).

Dear Sifus,

Scenario:
Let say my car is stationary but engine is running, i get out of car and remote key is in my pocket, so the external beeping sound goes on...

Question 1:
What will happen if this is prolong, say, more than 10 minutes? will it autolock all doors? will it auto shutdown engine?

Question 2:
On the same scenario above, how can i lock all doors while i am outside of car? I can only think of maybe using the physical key that kept inside remote...but the beeping sound wont go off until remote is back inside car right?
*
1. Someone I know experienced on Almera - engine ran till fuel tank empty, then battery also KO. Doors remained unlocked
2. With physical key. The beeping sound is only for a short while, then it stops.

I also find it difficult to fathom that it’s difficult for passenger(s) sitting at the back to lock the doors from the driver’s door 😅 unless of course if the person is old/too short/has a physical problem
*
Everyone has different agility and flexibility. I can do 30 push ups easily but it doesn't mean everyone can do at least 20.

Open driver door, push the lock button, close driver door ?
*
I tried. The doors unlock back even if I closed the driver's door with the grab handle pulled.
What I didn't try is to lock door from inside with driver's door closed, then exit from other door.

Honda Malaysia is expecting a drop of 10k in sales from last year. Quite a worrying sign since most sales are always optimistic about their target moreso when Honda are doing better and better these recent years.
*
I read the latest article at "he whose name you shall not mention" 's website that 2018 sales of 107k units is 6.x% lower than that of 2017. So, it's a declining number.

QUOTE(ericong77 @ Mar 20 2019, 02:04 PM)
Speaking of side mirror, anyone have problem with it like got tok tok sound when the mirror is folding? Not always got sound, just sometime like something is not in place causing the sound.
*
The only time I kena the kruk kruk sound was when I unlocked my car after someone accidentally knocked on it and caused it to unfold a bit while the car was parked.

QUOTE(rex82 @ Mar 20 2019, 03:51 PM)
collect my car later, did you all do alignment & balancing when collect your car?
*
I did not, and it did not display any symptom if poor alignment (as in need to constantly correct the steering).
Do check the tyre pressure though.

True true. I read from there too. But you see, 2018 target (109k) was based on 2017 sales (109k) but they were short only by 7k. By right, 2019 target should at least be same as last year performance (102k), however this year target is much reduced (95k). I'm not sure if Honda is confident that new Vios & Yaris are able to claw back that 10k in sales. As I see, new Vios is still very rare about 1 unit per week so far, and Toyota haven't been talking much about its sales figures. For Yaris, it has never been a hot seller from the previous generation so I don't think highly about it.
*
Maybe HM takes into account X70, Aruz, and the hot selling Myvi.
And world economy for 2019 is supposed to be worse than last year, partly due to Gold Hair's trade war.

At 40kph? It's the ABS module. Nothing to worry about.

I tot it was something to do with the GB or the mounting.
Confirm is the ABS?
*
Without the benefit if hearing it, I can only guess so. Especially if it's reproducible at 40kph, most if the time, from first engine start.
Refer to post no.2 in the first page.

If you have no faults or issues with the car that need rectification, I suppose it doesn't matter because 1k svc only involves checking.

OK thx for the advice wink.gif

Oh ya by the way, you all use what ped lock? Go through some brand like Geneo brand.

Any recommendation at setia alam area?
*
I installed loc.ktech and uninstalled it.
As mentioned, I had issue with my right foot kicking the secondary-lock barrel located on the right of the lock.
The feeling is damn "geli" and I find it unsafe because when I needed to brake I had to remember to position my foot lower. Where got time to do so in an emergency?

bought throttle body cleaner and want to diy .but i couldnt find the butterfly valve to open the throttlebody plate ....
where is it located btw ?
*
Unlike cars with throttle cable, newer cars use electronic signal to operate.
If you can find it, you need to switch on the ignition to position 2 and keep the accelerator pedal pressed to open the flap.

Do you guys find the intermittent wiper interval too slow? My old vios didn't have variable intermittent setting but I didn't have problem with it because it was faster.

I always encounter the situation where I prefer to manually flick the stalk up to activate the wiper once, because in such situations, the intermittent mode is too slow and regular speed mode is too fast.

Damn, wish i could swap peddle shift with that. Luckily still got manual flick up to compensate the need for it.

Yep me too. City 1st level intermittent too slow even in light drizzle, my windscreen would be covered b4 the next wipe. I was using a Nissan for a while during my car repair and found its intermittent much faster and I able to see clearly.
*
So I am not alone. Now I'm thinking of replacing the wiper relay... gsan any lubang for this?

For almost all my Jap cars, a 10mm spanner is usually needed.

anyone of u realise when u press accelerator , the throttle body plate doesn't open that much eventhru the RPM is 2000-3000 ...coz i spray threebond car conditioner to clean the throttlebody plate and notice

not sure if its due to electronic controlled throttlebody where it knows i never engage D gear ,So the throttlebody plate open slightly only
*
I discovered that the engine rev is limited to 4000rpm, IIRC, when the car is P, when I wanted to trace a source of vibration by revving it hard.

Why not keep using stock rims and stock tyres for about 1-2 years while saving money, then trade in both and get lower prices for rims and tyres that you want?
*
Ha, before I got my car, I shortlisted a few tyres to change to. Then I realised the stock Goodyear Excellence tyres are not bad at all, for my style of careful driving.

Do tyre shops still accept trade in? Few years back, the "kilang papan" tyre shop at Klang told me they no longer accept trade in of tyres.

Someone said that the brightness of FL push start button can be adjusted? Is that true? If yes, does it follow meter brightness?
*
Tested this for you today.
With lights off, not adjustable.

With lights on, button becomes dim. When you toggle meter brightness, the button remains dim until the very last adjustment (when meter goes max brightness, as bright as when you don't switch on lights), and then the button becomes bright like when you don't switch on headlights.
In short, with lights on, it's either dim or normal brightness (and meter will be max brightness at the same time).

The same applies to aircon panel brightness.
