8 speakers was one of the reason i bought V-spec tongue.gif
Sound might not be great, at least hassle free rclxms.gif
*
I chose V spec due to 6 air bags and rear LED lights (brighter and lights up faster than filament bulb). The rest of the goodies are just bonus.

Yes I knew it has 4 speakers but I just notice it has two tweeters which its not working after all. Thought tweeters are part of the audio system.
*
I don't find my 8-speaker set-up any better than the set of budget after market component speakers in one of my earlier cars.
In fact, I find it crappy and I'm not even an audiophile who's into SQL thingy.

To me, the led headlamp is a must when buying a car (coz even Myvi got those) brows.gif
Im planning to change the rear light to Eagle Eyes' BMW style, it really looks a lot better drool.gif

It's a cool feature (no pun intended) until you drive in the rain and you wonder whether you have switched on the headlights.

My Honda city whenever I was in quite high speed and apply brakes, I always felt the pedal vibrating..i thought because the brake is not good due to my old Toyota vios which also has ABS didn’t behave like this.

Then I read this in /k
So it is ABS characteristic hmm..
*
ABS juddering is much stronger and you hear/feel scraping sound because your tyres literally skidded on/off.
The vibration due to warped rotors is much gentler.

I'd recommend you to try activating the ABS in a safe location to get used to the feel, so that you won't instinctively release the brake pedal in an actual emergency scenario.

Hi,

Want to ask , if FL City has automatic lock for steering when off the engine and open driver door ?

Or do I need to manually push the steering upwards to lock it ?

My friend using new Myvi says got auto lock the steering wheel when turn off engine.

Isn't it supposed to be that way? I mean, even kapchais now have auto lock instead of having a separate lock macam Suzuki RC80/100 of the past.

I think you guys are confused with the steering lock. What he means is the anti-theft lock, not loss of motive power.

In City, it's the same as other key-based cars when you shutdown the engine and pull out your key. Once you switch off the engine (total off) in City, the lock will be engaged and you'll hear a click if you try to turn the steering wheel. And this is when you realise you can't turn the steering wheel anymore.

Ya that's what I meant. But is it the steering lock will auto engaged when I OFF engine and I don't need to turn the steering to hear the click sound ? I thought when I turn the steering until I heard the click sound, only the anti-theft lock activates.
*
Two schools of thought as far as I know:
1. You turn until it clicks and steering cannot move liao, baru considered lock, because it cannot turn now.
2. The lock mechanism has already engaged the moment you shutdown the engine and everything is switched off. When a thief tries to steal your car, he will lock the steering if he tries to steer - assuming he does not hack your car lock system.
That is why when you activate ACC mode (press the start button but don't step on brake pedal), you will hear something moving, which I assume is the unlocking of the steering wheel.

I belong to the second group. I start my car with a single push (instead of what is commonly believed, but not proven few-step mode), and I switch off my car without switching off the radio or air con.
Certainly won't turn the steering to lock - this is out of habit because if you do this to a car with regular key, you need to turn the steering a bit each time you want to start your car to release the lock mechanism or you need to twist the key hard. And all my previous cars had normal keys.

I once accidentally bumped my steering with my leg while getting out of my car and somehow it turned and click locked. After a while in a "oh shit, wtf did I just do?" moment I tried pressing the power button and my steering unlocked and goyang back into position.
*
No offence bro, but is this your first car? biggrin.gif
The steering going back on its own is the reason I don't activate the click after I shutdown my car. You are "forcing" the thing to unlock if you activate the click and you don't turn the steering a bit when you unlock the steering by pressing the start button.

2nd car bro haha. I'm not used to the steering lock mechanism because I'm more of the old school type. Using the pedal to steering lock makes me more confident about its safety. Old faithful has been following me since my first car until now. biggrin.gif

Indeed any additional visible lock will be safer.

what the safer & cheaper way if i want to transfer downpayment of rm35k from Maybank to Kah Motor(RHB bank)

Online fund transfer. Max 30k per day, so gotta split into 2 payments. It's free compared to cheque.

can i do it over Maybank counter and direct bank in to Kah motor. is it workable and safe?
*
I'm not sure of the daily limit, but if they allow >30k per day, why not? You need to ensure you get the correct bank account number.
I was told that they follow account number without checking the name of account holder tallies - this is for inter-bank transfer.

If done over the counter, iinm there is no limits below Rm 100k, I have withdrawn Rm50k before. The bank teller might take some extra caution (ie, you are not a elderly person being coerced by a younger person, they might ask about the purpose of the transfer, they might probably need the branch manager approval for transfer).

I too have heard of them not checking the name, so I usually ensure to get the official bank details of the transferred party, then I remind the teller to check the name and account number of the party before sending out.
*
The not checking name was told to me by MBB CSO when I had problem transferring fund to a biz with numbers in the name. M2U does not accept if the name is, say, Ah Hua8 Enterprise.

Will the teller be able to cross check the account holder's name in an inter-bank transfer? Our friend wants to trf from mbb to another bank.

I find that cruise control upon press RES button it accelerate a lot faster than my right foot, gives me an instant push back feeling. Even passenger in car noticed that.
Makes me wonder maybe i can save more fuel accelerate it myself rather than let cruise control do it tongue.gif

Having said, i still dont have much experience using cruise control, only tried twice for few minutes only. So i could be wrong.
*
You press "RES" when you want to re-activate the cc at the previously set speed. So, if you were cc-ing at 110kph and you cancelled the cc to slow down the car to say, 80kph, the car will rev to achieve 110kph if you press "RES".

In this situation, I usually bring up the speed myself at my own rate, and only switch on the cc when the speed hits 110kph.

On a hilly road, I feel our own foot can control better using the glide method - when you are going up slope, you don't need to maintain the speed at 110kph like it will do if you leave it on cc - only to brake when you go down slope again. Of course I'm not suggesting you do this pulse and glide at the expense of other road users behind you.

one question, let say im cruising at 70km/h, then i press accelerate pedal to accelerate it to 80km/h, and then press "set / -", it will set to 80km/h or reduce the speed?  laugh.gif
*
Hmm, this I am not sure. Will try when I have the chance.

All I know is when you off the CC but the main "cruise mode" is still shown on the dashboard, and you press the "set" button, the cc will be activated at the speed where you press the "set" button. If you press the "RES" button, it will resume the last cc set speed.

When you continue to accelerate to 70kmph, did the CRUISE CONTROL icon light at meter turn OFF?
*
In my FL, the cc icon remains on until I press the separate CC on/off switch at steering. It remains on even if I don't use it, say, after I step on the brake or temporarily cancel it.

Do your FL front doors panel can feel some vibration when you touch on the door panel or rest your arm on it when car is on D gear while idle at traffic and while driving ?

My side mirrors and dashboard no shaking though.
*
Mine can move in out a bit when touched. No vibration on its own, or at least I didn't observe any. However, there sometimes is a "click" sound when do sharp cornering at low speed and also when I pushed it when driving.
Power of rattle is coming to me soon - at least it's only after 6 months tongue.gif

Check the clips
Sometimes due to opening the door panels too often it causes the clips to be loose

Very possible. But I'm not going to touch it for fear of making more mess.
Only opened it once for tinting job.

For sharing:

i bought this front windscreen foldable sun shade from Mr DIY, comes in 2 pieces per set. the size is just nice. The coverage is good. Easy to store. Cost few ringgit only. Unfold, slide in, the upper part will stuck snuggly against base of rear view mirror, just nice smile.gif

user posted image

only drawback is they are 2 piece set, meaning have to repeat the folding/unfolding/adjusting actions twice every time using it.

Not all mr diy carry this item. i found this one at KL Gateway Mall's Mr DIY, quite a big store.
*
Thank you for sharing. Do you happen to have a photo of the packaging?

Sorry i didnt take picture of the packaging.

The dimension is stated on packaging.
Maybe u can measure the windscreen length (left to right = length?)  then check against the length of sunshade. There are few sunshades sell by mr diy, if you checkout the dimension can avoid buy the wrong one.

This sunshade's length is slightly longer than city windscreen (no issue wih it, just overlap abit), but its height is slightly shorter, still manage to hit the rear view mirror though.

Great. Thank you!

Thanks bro for recommend! biggrin.gif
Never thought of that.

I can either go for V or E. The deciding factor is the seat.
I want the V because of extra 4 tweeters, airbags, LED lights, fog light, and spoiler light. But the leather seat is something I am not so keen of.
Does 4 tweeters make a big difference?
*
I don't understand at all. If the deciding factor is the seat and you are not keen on having leather seat, what is there to think about?
