2. If you want the laptop to last for a few years, consider premium business laptops (cheapest is T480 which is above your budget), however many of them don't have good sRGB display (display upgrade costs extra)

Fine with consumer line?

Illegear Selenite 9th gen
Level51 Slate-17
Illegear Onyx 9th gen
Level51 Slate-15
Asus GL504GV
Dell G7 7590 - CPU power limit issue

Will not recommend some 9th gen models for now until I get more info

Dual channel RAM is highly recommended

Thanks for the recommendations, Illegear and Level51 are quite new for me, not sure if its good enough when compared to popular gaming brands?
Also may I know whats your opinion on brands like MSI, Alienware, Razer? Seems like if compare same specs Alienware will have higher price, is it better or just the brand matters?

1. Budget : 2-2.5k
2. Usage : Basic usage. Surfing, Doc editing, watching movies. Connecting to TV to watch movies.
3. Requirements (display size, battery life, weight etc) : prefer 13 inch laptop but 14inch will do as well. Light weight would be good also

Thank you!

No max weight in mind right now, only size req is 13 inch. Not into photoshop/ illustrator job too, low sRGB should be fine, right? 8GB ram sufficient enough these days? Most likely will install matlab in future. Any models to suggest?. Thanks.

Depends on model and specs

Matebook D is decent but I don't like the non-upgradable RAM and Huawei questionable reliability+aftersales

I would prefer the Matebook X Pro - if you have to go with Huawei. Now that's a topnotch ultrabook

1. Budget : Around 4k
2. Usage : Coding, light-gaming(poe or LoL), media consumption
3. Requirements (display size, battery life, weight etc) : preferably okay battery life since looking to be uni laptop, also lightweight. Having a nice display would also be nice.

Currently considering Matebook 13' as best option but don't know hows the after sales.
