16GB ddr4 2666 ram in dual channel
Don't want inverted motherboard layout

If you want 1TB SSD upgrade, consider WD Blue 3D (RM625) or Kingston A1000 (RM630). Enough for most users, no need high speed SSD

Rogue seems like a good option (it lacks the mechanical keyboard though)
Thing is Newegg has 660p going for around USD 100 (MYR 415) recently, so getting a higher priced sata drive won't make sense. Despite 660p being a QLC drive, it should be good for storing and running games from. I wonder if Illlegear can source Intel H10 optane ssds.

The model comes with 4GB RAM only. So, need to add more RAM into it.

8GB ram should be fine for your usage.

Don't buy from Acer website, that is original price. Buy from reputable sellers from Lazada or Shopee. Last time I saw lowest is around 2.5k

QLC: shorter lifespan. 660p don't have good random write/read if i remember correctly

Seems like Acer Nitro 5 (i5-9300H + GTX 1650 RGB GDDR5 + 256 GB SSD) is in market now for quite a good value. Only need to add another 4GB RAM to run dual-channel. Can be found on shopee/lazada 33XX-34XX.

Luckily I waited on the Y530.

I do not need to wait for reviews to tell you that I wouldn't buy a Nitro 5 simply because of the weak cooling setup.
I know that repasting and under-volting are ways to go about to reduce the problem but honestly, I believe a laptop should be delivered to the consumers as is and shouldn't require a user to go about performing changes.

So far i think the best one is HP 14-CM0087AU/0088AU - RM1475

Aldy got reviews. Weak cooling (upgraded cooling to the one in the old Helios 300, but still bad design). Nitro 7 does slightly better but still not good enough.

For that budget I usually suggest used/refurb
