dGPU model will probably have less battery life

I need to check whether it has 52Wh battery in store when I have the time
*
Thank you.. Which store you normally check at? Btw, is there Lenovo IP 330-15IKB-81DE00EEMJ/EFMJ/EDMJ and Acer E5-476G-5413/50WA model good?

I'm looking at buying a new gaming laptop, but I found out that the new GTX 16 series is launching soon. Should I wait or does it not matter?

Thanks, will do!
Would like to ask opinion,  gaming laptop suitable and not overkill for my needs? Or are there non gaming ones recommendable?
Also wondering if it's true gaming laptops better build/more solid/reliable long term than others
Also, if anyone can advice on best practices to optimize battery life (leave plugged in vs Drain etc?)
*
if you don't care about battery life and weight, gaming laptop can be an option but you need to do some tweaks in order to let it run cooler

Every model has different build quality. For reliability it kinda like lottery (depends on luck), however it the laptop runs hot for a long time then surely it will not last long

Undervolt, set lower turbo ratio limit and set best battery life mode

Thanks!
Just learnt about thermal repasting- seems quite risky (for inexperienced like me) - how essential is this (and how often to do)?

Appreciate all the advice!

330s-14IKB isn't a good recommendation anymore...I checked the battery size and it's a 30Wh...updated in the laptop list

sorry for the confusion

Everyone will have the first time doing it...not risky as long as you know the precautions

It's not required 100% but most laptops come with bad stock paste...so it's recommended

You're welcome

An i5 2060 configuration will be noticeably more expensive than an i5 1060 configuration

i see.. in that case, can i know if 2-2.5k what you'll recommend? for studies ny.. super light gaming.. thanks again..

say, what range of battery size is considered good? Do i just look for laptop with highest battery size + CPU and screen size that i need?

Edit: hi, i checked online and found this.. http://www.techhypermart.com/notebooks/len...rated-w10h.html is the site wrong about the battery capacity?

yeah i know, but i wouldnt mind spending more cause its for something new and in a way "future" proofing as well, could well easily last beyond 2~3 years..

the i5+ 2060 y540 coming in May is said to be about 4~5k price range depending on config.

i got this i5+1060 for 4.5k..

Lenovo Ideapad 320S-14IKBR 81BN002XMJ / 81BN0071MJ / 81BN0072MJ +RAM+SSD

Lenovo store says 330s-14IKB has 2 cell battery which means 30Wh
