QUOTE(xerox8908 @ Feb 22 2019, 01:15 PM) A quick reply for you as well First of all ryzen 2600 and i5 8600 wasn't a series . They are model . 2nd i5 8600 doesn't exist . And if it exist it will be desktop processor that will not exist in normal laptop . 3rd i5 8600k alone will cost more than rm1200 which left no more budget for your build . Thanks for the clarification. Appreciate it

Hi,
I'm looking for a laptop here with budget of less than 4.5k, good portability, good typing with light gaming. I have my eye on Yoga 730 15 inch due to its 2-in-1 form factor and touch screen as I frequently scribbling on onenote. Any other recommendation?

I don't know much about sRGB display, so can't really say much. I mostly play civilization 6 and would love if the laptop can run just cause 3 at acceptable settings. Main use would be editing document, so really like if I got a nice keyboard. Upgradeable RAM would be a huge bonus if possible. This post has been edited by ambd89: Feb 25 2019, 10:52 PM

Hi,
Looking to replace my older laptop [HP Pavilion G4-1024TX]. I was quite happy with that laptop [upgraded ram to max, using SSD and 1TB hdd in the DVD Slot]. I'm thinking of getting a laptop from Viewnet [Lowyat Plaza], previously bought a desktop and the HP laptop there and was very satisfied. I've searched through Viewnet's Listing and marked those at 2.5K or less. Looking to add in a better SSD + RAM also; buying additional warranty if it's only 1 year. So, total trying to keep under 3K. Buying all the items in the same shop should enable me to get a better discount.
My usage is mainly for work. Other Criteria: - Processor: Faster than i3-2310M in the HP - Memory: 4GB [must be able to be upgraded] - Storage: SDD or HDD doesn't matter [will be getting an Evo 860 or MX500] - Screen: 14 minimum [HD/FHD; if can get FHD for lower or equal to the HD ones, then yes please] - GPU: Doesn't matter? Little to Rare gaming - Battery Life: As good as the old HP or better - Software/stuffs that I use [things I currently use in my HP Laptop]: Microsoft Office, Photoshop (probably the most intensive one that I use), Multiple Chrome Windows
The ones I've marked [based on Price, Screen type and battery capacity than I can find online]: HD Screens 14" ACER E5-476-31EJ - RM1899 [Intel i3 8130U, iGPU, 41Wh or so, 1-Year Warranty] ACER E5-476G-5413/50WA - RM2479 [Intel i5 8250U, MX150, 41Wh, 3-Year Warranty] [Seems to have the best specs in this listing]
LENOVO 14-BS727TU - RM1812 [Intel i3 7020U, iGPU, 41Wh, 1-Year Warranty] LENOVO 14-CK0099TU/0101TU - RM1869 [Intel i3 7020U, iGPU, 41Wh, 1-Year Warranty] LENOVO 14-CK0021TX - RM1999 [Intel i3 7020U, Radeon 520, 41Wh, 1-Year Warranty]
FHD Screen 14" ACER SP314-51-35PJ - RM2299 [Intel i3 8130U, iGPU, 52.5Wh or so, 2-Year Warranty] HP 14-CM0107AU/0108AU - RM 2259 [AMD Ryzen 5 2500, Radeon Vega, 41Wh, 1-Year Warranty]
15.6" HP 15-DA0006TX - RM2499 [Intel i5 8250U, MX110, 41Wh, 2-Year Warranty]
Other laptops have better CPU [i5 8250U] but the battery capacity seems to be under 41W. Are the current laptops efficient enough that those under 41Wh [I see mostly around 30Wh] have the same operating duration or close as my old HP [47Wh]? If yes, then I'm open to those that I've not listed here [preferably from Viewnet].
Though, I'm open to any shop [In Lowyat Plaza if can, easier for me when I travel there] that can get me a better laptop and add-ons for the price .
Thank you!
