Hi sifus, need some recommendations from u guys. I'm looking for a laptop which is around +/- 2kg, battery life 6-8 hours. My budget is around 3k - 3.5k. main usage will be using Chrome, Microsoft office and maybe once in a while some light gaming. Thanks in advance.

Any preference on weight and battery life? Mind low sRGB display? Mind non-upgradable RAM?

Hi guys, i would like to ask for your recommendation for laptops

Budget 2k or maybe can add few hundreds if possible.
2 laptop, first for light gaming and second just for light office works and movies.

Inspiron 14 5000 (5480). Happen to saw it while searching for laptops

If can top up budget to RM2700, you can get Aspire 5 with i5-8265u and MX150.

If not mistaken, Inspiron 5480 shares chassis with Vostro 5481.
Note that Inspiron 5480 has only 10/100 ethernet.

A help.. Looking to replace my laptop.. Looking around, I found something I'm interested in nearby my place.. A Lenovo Ideapad Model.. 330 15-IKBR-81D-E01-JAMJ for RM1850.. I have a spare 256GB SSD.. I only have to buy a 4GB DDR4 RAM.. With the RAM, the total comes up to RM1970.. ngam ngam 2K.. Any reason I shouldn't get this particular model? Only looking for studies.. no gaming probably.. Good battery life 4 hours okay..

Depends on your expectations. I rate the Idepad 330 as a low end model. Poor viewing angles with it's TN display and has unnecessarily bulky and heavy. I rather spend a bit more and get the S version, 330S.

I'm not ZM Fong but my comment is that I would avoid the above sku. I'm not sure on the price but I don't think you should buy a relatively low-mid range laptop with a 512GB SSD. However more importantly, I would get a SKU with integrated graphics or a super low end dedicated graphics. I smell trouble with the R535. I imagine it ruining the experience. Causing the fans loud and the bottom to be hot. All while not offering a performance improvement for casual usage.

What games?
