Dear sifus, thanks in advance

1. Budget : 6k

2. Usage : Microsoft office, heavy web browsing, potentially some coding and light video editing

3. Requirements (display size, battery life, weight etc) : 2 in 1 is a must, good battery life

Prefer min how many hours of battery life? Any preference on weight and display size? Mind low sRGB display and non-upgradable RAM?

Thanks for the reply.

Minimum 6 to 7 hours battery life for normal browsing would be good.

No preference on weight and display size.

Don't really mind the display quality. RAM as long as can support opening many tabs on Google chrome don't mind not able to upgrade.

Sorry forgot to add that I also do light gaming once in a while.

Hearthstone which is not very graphics intensive, lowering settings is totally fine.

looks like a browser game. looks like it'll run on anything from the last couple of years. So looks to me like a dedicated graphics is not nessosary.

1. Budget : MYR 2k to MYR 3k

2. Usage : Virtual Machine (VM) for self learning. Basically to run Windows (7, 10, Server 2008 above) and Linux (Ubuntu, Kali, Redhat).

3. Requirements :
- RAM 8GB (enuff or need more???)
- 4 thread CPU???
- 256GB SSD??? I read somewhere VM preforms better with SSD?

Hope that someone can suggest me something. Quite blurr about latest PC Tech as I've leaving my pc life for some times. Now only relying on Phone, Android Box and PS4...

Thanks! I will check them out and compare.

Any thoughts on the ASUS ZenBook Flip S UX370 and Dell XPS 15? Higher on the budget side but are they superior in anyway?

This will be my home workstation. So, weight and battery life is not really something that i care much. Any type of laptop will do, as long as its within the budget...

Looking at ideapad 530s coverage on notebookcheck.net, there is only one ram slot and no 2.5" bay.

After checking all the model, I actually find the Yoga 15 fits pretty well. The plus points that I see is that it has Thunderbolt Type C USB, PCIe SSD, and standalone Nvidia graphics card in case I decide to play some more recent games.

Any comments/thoughts on the laptop is much appreciated. thumbup.gif

Usually I don't recommend anything over 5k but UX370 is a good model. XPS 15 has many issues (btw it's a Dell not HP)
