I thought I was the only case to be upgraded from 100 to 500 early this month, looks like I was the pioneer case. sweat.gif Explanation given to me was because my plan is too cheap.
Yes, excluding SST.

QUOTE(kentangz @ Oct 25 2018, 06:12 PM)
I’ve been lurking here for so long, but thought I could share my journey towards getting turboed.

In March this year, TM had quietly announced that my area would be getting access to Unifi (one of the taman in Sandakan). However, due to delay in laying out the cable by their contractor, the internal speed testing by TM was not completed until early May 2018, by which time the Bonanza Campaign promo already ended (I was aiming to subscribe the 30mbps package at RM139).  Without much option, I was advised to subscribe the 10mbps package (RM129), which I did, and if I ever wanted the 30mpbs package, I could only get at the standard rate for RM199. I was not satisfied for such the opportunity lost and visited the local TM Point to see their branch manager. After few meetings and phone calls later, he said that Bonanza Campaign can be extended specifically for new subsribers in my taman. In early June, my request was completed and my subscription was upgraded from 10mbps to 30mbps. Note: If not mistaken, Bonanza Campaign period was then extended nationwide until later time but that was besides the story here.

Back in July when TM briefly put a web page to check the turbo upgrade eligibility, the website was so congested that I couldn’t even check if my account could be upgraded in which phase. I just assumed the upgrading process would be quick enough but by early this month my patience wore thin. To make matter worse, I never received an email from TM for the upgrade status, or even a single email about anything turbo.

On 9/10, I filed a complaint report each to MCMC and CFM, and did some follow up but their answer was simple: my case has been assigned to TM, pending further feedback. A week later, I filed 2 complaints to TM via live chat but my report was immediately closed. I took another step, which was to copy the content of my previous MCMC report and email TM (help@tm.com.my), and again cc to MCMC as well KKMM (got their customer service email address on the KKMM website). Again I followed up my case through live chat and this time TM agent confirmed that my request has been escalated up the hierarchy (last chat with TM on 22/10). I was informed that the case will be reviewed in 2 weeks, but I took it with a grain of salt. As of this morning, I checked my OCC dashboard, as I did almost every day but saw nothing new on the account activity. Suddenly this afternoon, I got an SMS saying that my account has been turbo’ed and the dashboard immediately changed it status to 300mbps. I am not sure if this upgrade has something to do with my complaint or it is just purely coincidental.

TL;DR
2013 – Streamyx 1mbps @ RM110
2014 – Streamyx 4mbps @ RM140
Jan 2018 – Streamyx 8mbps @ RM140 (free upgrade after unfair pricing complaint to MCMC)
May 2018 – Unifi 10mbps @ RM129
June 2018 – Unifi 30mbps @ RM139 (Bonanza Campaign)
25 Oct 2018 – Unifi 300mbps @ RM139

Anyway  on the dashboard status, it still says promo discount RM60 and promo discount 24 months, which is carried over from the Bonanza Campaign. Should I be worried about this?

For those wondering, I am using Asus RT-AC86U router which I bought from Gearbest.com @ USD179 or roughly RM720 in October last year and previously used it as an AP on top of my TM-issued streamyx modem. It is a Chinese version, but once logged in, you can change the firmware region to either US, Europe, China, Australia or Singapore (the difference between those regions is the number of wifi  channels / frequency on 5Ghz band).

Well, that’s all my ranting for now. Can’t wait to go home to test my new speed.
*
I don't think you have anything to worry, I'm too on the Bonanza Campaign for 30Mbps previously, and I also got upgraded today to 300Mbps too. The RM60 discount for 24 months remain in my account, same as what it previously is.

I wonder if those on RM199 get 800M and those on RM179/189 now get 500M with discount.
*
this is looking likely...

500mbps... some are paying rm159.. and 300mbps... rm139, no?

that's very acceptable... at this time... i will take either.

i mean NOW, now 12 months from now!!

Guys, where can downgrade the plan? Staff UNIFI Glo Damansara said only HQ can downgrade and said that TM Kota Damansara can downgrade but google shows that it closed already? Any near Bandar Utama can perform the downgrade
*
The TMPoint at Uptown (Damansara Utama, not that far away from Bandar Utama) can handle downgrades and terminations. It's a fully empowered TMPoint.

Only thing crappy bout that place is the chronic lack of parking space so you have to go with a partner to drop off. Otherwise you're forced to park at Starling Mall and walk a bit.

Also come early. 9am if possible, since it's always full of people. I swear TM is making it more and more difficult to downgrade/terminate plans.

How to get back 800?
*
No way for me and I escalated to MCMC after TM refused to give me 800. Fortunately for me, before TM picked up the case from MCMC, my latest statement came and there is a glitch in my monthly bill I supposed, I'm paying 129 for 500Mbps now. So I'm resting my case until another heart attack comes. I already withdrew my case from MCMC.

Well, then just downgrade to 129 for 100Mbps.

Why is your UnifiTV RM40? Should be RM30 or RM60. Is it from long time ago when Ruby pack was RM40?

Hmm. Based on the feedback from others, it's not a good choice. If it's major issue, it still has to go back to UniFi. If your place has TIME covered, then yes please go ahead with TIME.

Dayum, you hit the motherlode of turbos mate.

Most people on the bonanza plan who subscribed in 2018 itself will never see turbo until next year at the earliest, according to the TMPoint person I spoke to when I first applied for the Unifi 30M/RM139 Bonanza Package in July 2018.

This was in fact one of the reasons why I downgraded to 100M/RM129 in September the first opportunity I got. Didn't wanna pay extra for something I wasn't sure I was gonna get.

Finally got my 100MB Turbo-ed to 800MB today, after 1 month plus of ding dong with TM~

BTU : Huawei EchoLife HG8240H
Router : TM TP-Link C1200
Area : Cheras

18th Sept : Walk into Quil City Mall to request for the speed up, report ID generated.

Report was closed few days later without any reason/reply given.

Numerous reports were created via live chat, and all are closed. Only this time with those scripted replies like pilot testing, phase by phase, selected customers, need to have proper infra ready and bla bla bla~

11th Oct : Walk into TM Point Pandan Indah and request to fill up the Retention Form in order to expedite the Turbo Upgrade. But to my surprise, one of the staff there say no such thing as Retention Form. Instead they help me to send an email directly to the relevant department for my request. Promise will call me back few days time to update the estimated time for the upgrade.

14th Oct : No call received (as predicted), so proceed to lodge a report to MCMC & CFM. Till date, my case in MCMC still not assign to any of their staff yet despite I already got the Turbo-ed Upgrade.

16th Oct : Went back to TM Point Pandan Indah, waited for almost 2 hours to get to the CS for the sake of the same request. But the CS handed me back to the one who served me on 11th Oct. Upon checking, they mistype my unifi details during my last visit (which explain why I didn't receive any call from them). So this round I've learn my lesson and demand to see the email content before they send out. On top of that, I was promised that I shall get my Turbo-ed Upgrade within 2 weeks time. They even show me that my account is ready for the turbo from one of the smartphone database.

25th Oct : Received call from TM around 6pm, telling me that my upgrade is completed and they wanted to close my report. I was a bit shocked cause this morning when I checked my account, it is still under 100MB. I told them I didn't receive any SMS/Email regarding the upgrade. They said it was done around 5.30pm, and I agreed for them to close the report if the upgrade is completed.

If I'm not mistaken, you were paying RM 159 for 100Mbps right? So now 800Mbps for 159 too? Not bad.

I thought RM40 was from long time ago. Anyone else still paying RM40 for UnifiTV?

Do you have other discounts in your bill details?

Previous bill for 100mbps RYE 2017:
RM299-RM130+RM30=RM199

After turbo-ed to 800mbps, dashboard shows:
RM150 perpetual discount, RM10 UniFi special discount

So I assume there's no price bump for me.

Yes, it should be RM 329-160+30=199.

RM159 was for 50MB, I opted for the RYE upgraded to 100MB with RM10 topup...

Before the TM staff hang up their call, I ask them regarding the pricing. According to them, it is supposed to remain same price after the turbo. I have some kind of feeling that TM will screw up my billing again. This happened before during my 50MB to 100MB upgrade. I was charge full price of RM3++ for 100MB back then for 2 months, which result I have to walk into TM Point for few times to settle the billing.

I wanted to try the UnifiTV since now I got the upgrade. I have Ultimate Pack since 100MB, but never bother to use it since I have other TVBOX.

But recently I saw some online seller offering to jailbreak the STB, which can watch over 1000 of channels included those @str0 one.

My problem here is, I have NEVER use the UnifiTV at all since the 1st day of using Unifi, and my STB was misplaced long time ago.

So in order for me to use the UnifiTV, I think I will look for a 2nd hand one (white colour one). What else do I need to do after obtained the STB? Any setting need to be done from my router & STB? Need to key in the userID & PW into the STB?
