Don't underestimate the Mi Router 3G, it comes with serious good SoC for the price it is sold however lack of VLAN tagging support is a problem.

i actually contacted the seller and they said already flash custom firmware and will support unifi, so i wasnt sure.
the biggest reason for me to consider mi router 3g is because of the specs
MediaTek MT7621AT (880 MHz, 2 cores), 128MB ROM, 256MB of RAM, 2.4GHz ( 300Mbps ) and 5GHz ( 867Mbps ). all for rm160

then i think need to see around. hmmm~~

Manage to get a technician to come and check why I not getting 800mbps after turbo.  The router C1200 is the problem..
Got any router recommended that not so pricey? I am thinking to downgrade to the 100 mbps package also.

the problem is 5Ghz have limitation on coverage, my modem is placing at upstairs.

800mbps a bit hard la on wifi, but mine 300mbps ok la. attached mine, tested on wifi 5ghz band on my note 8. my setup:

BTU : Alcatel-Lucent I-240G-P (cat 6 LAN to router 1)
Router 1 : DLink Dir-882 (AC2600), cat 5e to router 2
Router 2 : DLink Dir-842 (AC1200)
Wireless Extender : TP-Link RE450

Guys, my turbo upgrade is done and i am using TP link C7 AC1750, how come i only manage get 250-280mbps connect via wireless 5ghz, if 2.4ghz only 80mbps?

Do we need made any setting change in our router?

My turbo speed is 500mbps.
I test it using my iphone 7 so should be supported

hi I bought the tplink tl-sg105e switch and followed blacktubi’s guide as link below but I wasn’t able to get hypptv working. it shows an antenna with a small cross.
I tested the network connection in the stb. all have green ticks except for the last one,multicast connectivity.
is there something I missed out?

i just call tm for asking them change my router, they reply me say , if go u house checking need pay RM53, and if request change router need pay . they say u line speed at 93mb is fine, no problem ..how come like that ??why some ppl upgrade can get new router without pay any thing ??

Hi, would like some advise. my unifi just got turbo-ed to 800mb. when i test the speed using LAN, i can get full speed. but Using wifi 5 GHZ i only can get around 200mb from iphone 10 speedtest. i am using asus ac68u router. Do i need to upgrade to better router to get higher speed on wifi?

Nope. I just got Unifi installed in July however, so the equipment is already up to date (DLINK DIR842 MIMO router and Fiberhome Gigabit capable ONU) and no equipment change is required.

The DIR 842's WIFI range is quite amazing compared to the older TP Link 1043 ND router I had with DD-WRT firmware which i used for Stimyx.

Can even get coverage out on my street in the car. I was quite surprised. The WIFI speed however is nothing to write about, but considering that i'm only able to get up to 100 Mbps until they officially announce new and faster packages, it is of no concern to me at the moment.

i using the same router also. i change both my cable to cat 6 from btu to router and to my pc as well. i can get 500 ish only. my package was 800 mbps though.

I'll look into those when i eventually go for higher speed packages in the future. My main PC is hardwired to the DIR 842 so wireless coverage is secondary.

I've just been on that ancient TP-Link router for so long that my perception of what constitutes normal coverage for a WIFI signal is rather skewed lol.

The "crap" Archer C1200 v.1 running find on my TIME@300 ,even on WiFi 5GHz getting 285Mbps 10 meters away.

Archer C1200 CPU is Broadcom BCM47189B0 @ 900 MHz.

Even higher MHz then Archer C7 @ 720 MHz v.1-v.3 (v.4 @ 750 MHz and v.5 @ 775 MHz)

Qualcomm has some advantage compare to Broadcom SoC.

TM has also latest firmware as TIME from May this year (16-05-2018), with modification for:

1. Support DualLan
2. Support Tr069
