1. Not sure if you still can maintain your current number as another line for foc. It changes from time to time.
*
If you wish to maintain current number as another secondary line, RM25 per month. Otherwise it is encouraged that migrate the line to UniFi.

Yes, these days only a handful of TM Point can do termination. Off hands I know Menara TM and Muzium Telekom. None of these opens during weekends and only working hours.
*
TM is a joke. I remember I can call Maxis to terminate my wireless broadband without the need to step into any of their center.
Might as well TM close down all their TMPoint and only open some small kiosk for self service and use online registration. Make it like AirAsia then.

TM is doing it. Now Kuching has only 1 "original" TMPoint left.
*
Yes. And expect everyone to visit that particular TMPoint. Simple service cannot do online and must visit TMPoint.

They even provide upgrade/downgrade button in their selfcare portal.
From here we can see TM always 1 step behind.
*
This is what I hope TM can come up with long time ago to reduce waiting cue at TMPoint.

QUOTE(pokchik @ Oct 7 2018, 02:00 PM)
2 different packages, bro.

Yours:

Residential High Speed Internet RM99
Unifi PlayTV Lite RM30
Residential Voice Unlimited RM50
Total RM149

Once you're turbo-ed, billing remains. Only Internet Speed upgraded to 100Mbps.
No re-contract.

New BEST plan:

Residential High Speed Internet RM99
Unifi PlayTV Lite RM30
Residential Voice STD20 (600mins Free) RM0
Total RM129

To enjoy the new BEST plan, users go to TM Point, do a thumbprint and start new contract
due to new package.
*
Actually they just make it different on paper so that user have no choice but to renew contract or pay more. Just look at how Time adjust their customers speed accordingly for this upgrade exercise, and TM could have just do the same by adjusting 10mbps users to 100mbps at RM129 inclusive of the free calls. But look, let's force customers to come and recontract, and we can retain them for another 2 years.

QUOTE(dynames07 @ Oct 7 2018, 02:16 PM)
my current unifi subscription is: UniFi Advance Plus 50Mbps (Thank You Campaign 2017)
monthly payment: rm231.15

live chat with CS.. she got nothing to say.

any recommendation?
*
I recommend:
1. keep paying the same price and wait for turbo which is uncertain.
2. Downgrade to RM129 100mbps and recontract 2 years.
3. Terminate and switch to Time/Maxis.

QUOTE(janson_kaniaz @ Oct 7 2018, 02:42 PM)
Currently paying RM149 for 10MBPS before SST. I don’t need free calls and HPPTV.

How to downgrade to RM129 package?
*
Go to any tmpoint and change to RM129.

QUOTE(stormaker @ Oct 7 2018, 03:42 PM)
Already tried restart BTU few times sad.gif
I already talked to TM live chat, he said the transfer of phone no. from streamyx to unifi is completed, then asked me to complaint to the installer.

Haih, looks like i have to take another day off just for this sad.gif
*
You should call the installer to check. My phone line migration is done on the same day UniFi is installed, and the installer even help check that the phone line is working before he left.

Surprisingly my installer willing to come at night just to check on my phone problem. After done setting in btu, the "TEL1" now show light blinking, which previously no light at all.

However, still cannot make call or receive call, n he suspect something wrong at TM side.
*
I think you can use back the copper line while waiting for the migration to complete.

QUOTE(zellleonhart @ Oct 7 2018, 09:33 PM)
Hi all, I am on 30mbps 169/month, old apartment so probably VDSL/copper line. Most likely cant support 100mbps and above.

Is it possible for me to still subscribe the 100mbps/RM129 plan if I am ok with getting less than 100mbps speed (maybe 30-50 depends on the capability)? Will TM allow me to do it?

I just want to pay RM40 less and I don't mind the speed... 30-50 is good enough for me.
*
Subscribe to Maxis 30mbps, RM89 unlimited quota and you save a lot more compare to TM.

Will maxis perform as good as TM's line? just checked, got coverage.. my unifi has been very stable, not sure if I change to Maxis will it be still good.
*
Well like TM, some said it is just as good or even better, others said it's worst. But Maxis is also using TM's infra though. In terms of technical support, some of the things are done by TM's technical side, so at times it might take longer to resolve problem as Maxis pass it to TM technician.

QUOTE(rizvanrp @ Oct 9 2018, 05:16 PM)
Was that non TM router also D-Link branded or something else entirely? I'm guessing the router thing was just an excuse but my friend got the same answer at a completely different TMpoint regarding his upgrade.

@klseet was actually the one who called me up on Friday morning and told me to contact them for the upgrade. He had to do the same to get his upgrade processed but his involved uh .. more shouting laugh.gif.

My account hasn't been a staff account for over 2 years and I don't think TM plays favourites when it comes to upgrading its users. I was literally subscribed since Unifi launch day to the VIP20 package. It just seems ridiculous that they're doing these upgrades at random regardless of your GPON infrastructure, what you're paying or how long you've been subscribed. I've never really bothered about paying the full price for the VIP100 package but hearing my friends tell me about their overnight 1Gbps TIME upgrades along with a price reduction + the endless news articles about lower Internet access prices really rubbed me the wrong way.

Speaking from experience, it takes a whole 5 minutes to upgrade the VLAN profile of your ONU, RADIUS profile of your account and billing profile. I even checked my ONU's physical callingstation ID after the upgrade and it was the same as before -- no physical OLT port movement involved. There's absolutely no excuse for TM to delay the turbo upgrades for GPON users except if they're using an older 10/100Mbps ONU.
*
Just curious, as per your last knowledge what is the advantage of having staff account versus normal account, apart from maybe special pricing? Does staff account get turboed faster? Are they also subscribing to the normal 30/100mb package or there's a special package for them?

I submitted termination notice via twitter. After that I can see there are 3 open tickets on my unifi portal (since 3 accounts termination). After a month or so you have to go to TM Point to surrender the BTU on day 20 - 25 or thereabouts. You can ask them about the exact dates.
Because of my termination notice, I received a call from their marketing department recently trying to get me to sign up for the readily available 100Mbps@RM129.. LOL
*
So did you gave in to their request?

QUOTE(HyourinMaru @ Oct 11 2018, 12:15 PM)
Iinm the 1 who called said that voice call is pay per use and no free stuff. My previous package come with HyppTV, but I request them to switch me to 1 without, hence she said need to send report.

What I wrote is exactly what's being shown on my unifi account. And sorry for unable to confirm the voice call and whateverTV as I dont use all of them except for the internet only. My landline is unplugged and keep elsewhere as the only times it rang was wrong number calling laugh.gif

Did I missed anything? is the RM99 50mbps already out?

Just curious, let Say I do the same method by giving the notice of termination just to get TM to counter offer. And if no offer from them after the 30 day period, What will happen if I does not plan to proceed with that termination?

Will they purposely continue with the termination, so that the user have to sign up for new contract with them again.
*
No. if you do not visit tmpoint to terminate after the 35th day, your termination will not be process and you can continue using the account until you repeat the same cycle to terminate again. It's a good idea i think you can try.

Why do you need seedbox actually?, Did you download private tracker torrent and really need seed the torrent?
*
Seeding is a good way to give back what you have get. Here in Malaysia ppl still do not have the initiative to seed back torrent, only they are forced to by private tracker.

Upgrade should have been automatic.
TM looks trying to delay.
I'm paying RM149 for 10mb.
TM called to say upgrade to 100mb but staying at same price RM149.
Hello TM, first upgrade should be auto as promised not bargain. Second 100mb now only RM129. Why pay more with old equipment and old dect phone.
Anyway I'm terminating TM for maxis after a loyal 5 years
*
They are trying to force you to go to TMPoint in order to change to RM129, so that you will recontract another 2 years. Good. Give Maxis a chance.

UniFi down in Kuching for more than half hour already. Called them and they tried to reset port but fail, then he told me all hundreds of users in my area are offline.

None of them can beat Time in terms of pricing, not to mention Time 100/500mbps is symmetrical speed.
