He would have finished 3rd anyway. He didn't have the strategy or the pace to keep up with Kimi and Fernando.
From his interview it seems like he didn't set up his car properly.

da 1st 12 laps battle between Kimi & Lewis was great.. thumbup.gif  thumbup.gif

y da 2nd & 3rd place trophy so small 1?? lolz..
*
Surely Kimi will overtake Lewis in a few laps.
But, the battle will make Alonso closer to both of them.

laugh.gif
Me also thinks like that.
Maybe they thought Lewis gonna win, then it would humiliate the 2nd & 3rd.
What a turn around laugh.gif

Nurburgring is ours again.
We surely disappear in those long slip stream.
Clearly roar speed when we saw Kimi trailing Lewis last night.

By the way, heard that Ron actually 'preserved' Lewis' engine, which translates to the lack of pace. True?

Alonso was virtually flying after he pitted for the first time. Lewis was falling behind. Just as Alonso pitted for the 2nd time, Kimi went on to close the gap with fastest lap. This guy is amazing.

Alonso in the lighter fuel load(after the short fuel) suppose to be much faster.. he have to open a big gap but end up only open up about 5 secnd(Alonso say so).. that is not enough.... .. ..

off topic - mark this name, Ben Kasperczack
QUOTE(Four-year old gets signed to pro-motorsports contract)
user posted image
Top-level athletes are being identified at younger ages all the time, with most tennis or gymnastics prodigies being noticed by age 10. Over in the UK, motorsports are huge, and four year-old Ben Kasperczack has just been signed to a four-year contract with Motorsport World. That's right, 'lil Ben isn't even old enough for kindergarten and he's been granted unlimited track time, his own mechanic, and all the equipment he'll ever need.

It's easy to dismiss such a contract as little more than a publicity stunt, yet Ben has shown an amazing knack for recognizing understeer and oversteer (most adults aren't as fortunate), and he knows just when his tires need changing. Since at age four he's completely fearless, Ben also maintains the most aggressive driving line possible, which makes him faster around the track than most adults.

We don't know if Michael Schumacher should worry about any of his records just yet, but the karting world will have to wait four more years before Ben Kasperczack competes in his first race with other drivers. Let the hype machine begin.
