I wonder how does DirectD support warranty for HK set? Their website claim warranty will be provided by Apple when they've launch here

Its ok. I dont want to argue but I have already put out Apple's Official terms and conditions page for your viewing but you still want to claim otherwise, which is miss leading to the the forummers here. Like I mentioned, whoever who bought overseas sets who fails to claim shall quote and refer to ben3003 then. Happy?

I actually claimed warranty from machines on my iphone 6s plus hk set and iphone 7 plus aus set...and was told that the local AASP covers warranty for international set besides US.


somewhat I feel skeptical sending my phone back to T&L (although if feels as if they send it back to Apple HK) but there is no black and white stating that. it clearly stated "seller warranty", so in the event if they really change parts in your phone, there is no way to dispute anything at all..compare to sending your unit back to AASP with receipts and all.... I think I'd opt for latter..

already paying premium price for the unit, don't want to go through unnecessary worries about the faith of your phone etc.

actually this has been discussed before, anyway it is your money.

So did I with a Applestore.sg set. But like I mentioned, I was told by the staff there that this will be a case to case basis as they (the AASPs) and Apple themselves could reject the RMA. Better to follow to as what was laid out in the terms and condition of Apple's warranty. And they did mentioned they were helping me out of goodwill because I am their regular customer.

true that, there is no black and white stating the international warranty coverage... sigh, i'll just wait for msia release la...will be soon and less headache

if u are gonna get the nano+esim in the beginning, why get yourself headache by considering the hk set and all the warranty issue?

I know apple made in good quality of phone, its just incase only..
For all my past..iPhone bought without any apple care.
Unless it's accidentally drop inside toilet or put inside washing machine.
Otherwise got screen protector and case, its much durable protection from time to time.
