hi, i am wearing braces for the time being. have you ever encounter any "GESEL" for the tooth? my dentist have gave me option whether to plug the tooth for the gap or "gesel" the tooth which can make about only 2mm for the gap. What is gesel? is it like cutting the tooth? Please enlighten me.. 

i dont think its like the blue stuff to expand the teeth kent, i think its a trim (to do "GESELAN") for a lil gap. btw, is the trim painful leng_leng?    been wearing for 5 months, another 13 months to go

i pulled my 2 teeth last sat..and nxt treatment is on tuesday to pull out another 2 teeth... then nxt nxt week put braces...
total for me is rm3.5k but without retainer..  is not pain of pulling the teeth... jx feel numb... and im nervous when i putting braces... isit pain? ahh....scare....@.@"

If you are using the tranditional type, immediately you will feel the effect on the fisrt day.. If you install self-ligating type, you will feel the effect from day to day in gradually.. For my case, when i install on the first times, the pain is happen on 3rd day..then maintain for few day then slowly not much feel till next visit when doc change the wire.

I know what you mean about taking turn. Hehehe...Cos ur braces is working on them. IF u realize, whenever u feel pain on that particular teeth, 2-3days later u will see a slight movement edy. So the pain on one or two teeth is good. It means they're are moving...

Haha.. ya, right..only when u feel pain, means it working on it.   Sometime we become weird because we like to feel pain

Leng leng, most likely will change wire to thicker a bit.

dont think doc will clean your teeth lol. and yes, it'll hurt after changing the wire

dont worry la. its not as bad as having the braces on for the first time. the first time i would say is the worst

No worries la my dear, u'll only feel tighter when Doctor is changing or after changing the wire.
As when he is changing, he will press the brackets and the wire together. So a bit tight there lo. The discomfort is a while only.

Was suppose to hang 6 teeth up, But the two gigi taring are causing problems. So now only hanging 4 teeth. Doctor says he has to stop pulling the two gigi taring for the time being. Or else, the wounded gum will just keep on bleeding.

Changed my lower jaw's wire to thicker ones. Feeling the tightness now. And Doctor gave me a packet of rubberbands. I have to change the rubberbands myself everyday to close those gaps caused by extractions. I think, soon my smile will be berlubang-lubang.... 

Ok...attention seniors ..
Im planning on setting a date for the extraction...
  guess ill have to just do it...

Please gimme advice on what to expect...
ill try my best not to scare myself afterwards..

Hahaha.... Yah, after de-braced, we will still need to wear retainers to maintain the shape or else, it will run back to the old shape.

However, if leng leng is asking about if without braces, will protruding teeth get worst? I think yes it will. Cos you know how our wisdom tooth will grow and will start pushing away the rest of our teeth. Somehow or other, it will affect the rest of our teeth also. B4 i got braces, i realised that my teeth are getting worst bcos of my wisdom tooth.

Hie guys, just changed my wire to a thicker 1 last 3 weeks n the 1st thing I've noticed is it's starting to ache the next day. Thank God for the painkillers! But after a day or so, I can hardly feel the pain nemore. Am set for my 4th appointment next week, my ortho plans to pasang those brackets to my lower set of teeth *gasp!* Now my mouth is officially full of metal!

ah..ic..thankz!..near my house only..hahah..anyway..from what i have read,the self ligating braces example is the Damon system right?
Means that we can opt for Damon compared to the normal metal braces or it is determined by the dentist?
I heard also that not all patients can use the Damon type braces.

According to him, my first 6-8 months will be crucial so he needs to see every month...after that i'll be like urs la,only once in every 2months hehe...
