Bite stopper? Urmmm... ur ortho will check ur teeth whether they touch ur bracket when u clench ur teeth especially during bed time... if they touch, then ur ortho will glue small bite stopper at upper jaw... it creates space between upper n lower jaw... so that teeth from both jaws wont touch each other... once bite stoppers are installed, u will find it hard to eat because of the gap created by the bite stopper... but somehow i love bite stopper... i wont worry about loosen my brackets... and since the bite stopper is hard, i can simply bite food with it... hahhaha...

Yes like a tiny ulcer and irritated skin near my brackets on lower jaw.. how ah? I already extracted my teeth ler..

Haha im underweight too... ppl always concern bout my weight after knowing that im putting on braces.. Im kinda worried too but now.. arghh who cares la I juz wan to hv nice teeth.. Anyway..it's not tat scary as what ppl told lor..pain is bearable and now i dun feel anything also leh.. can eat summore.. So dun worry k?

I install my both jaw at one time ard 1hr++ la.. As like Nikki said, the doc juz glue the brackets then put the wire.. n put sumthing chemical to clean the teeth which is very sour one...forgot whats tat already.. Hmm..and mine need to trim some of my teeth to gv more space...but no pain at all la...

Wah u want give such a big suprise to ur bf ah? My dear went with me also but I dun let him go in with me and too bad he curi curi come in without realizing...haha.. Aiks.. Me too ler eat damn alot also never grow fat one.. seems like we are the same type of body hehe..

aiya.. actually not tat scary la dear.. After I put my braces, I realized it wasnt as bad as I've expected. Really, it's much better than what I heard frm others. Now I can eat lots of food also.. except some particular food that we cant eat like biscuits, nuts, chips etc.. I also avoid cold drinks and its not a big deal for me as I seldom take cold drinks normally..hehe.. Me too must hv supper everyday if not I couldnt sleep haha.. Hmm..juz tat the way that we eat would be different cos some food we need to cut into small pieces.. My front teeth hv no strength to rip the food also... Juz treat this as our experience in our life and it is so precious that not everyone has gone thru this ma.. Be positive!

So do your bf being supportive when you decided to put braces? since ur bf had experienced then he shud know how to take care of you and understand ur situation rite? That's a good thing what... anyway when are you going to put on ur braces dear?

Nikki, my front teeth also no strength to rip the food le...only chew with teeth behind... but you hv been wearing for quite some time d rite? stil no strength? Or the front teeth is memang like tat for 1-2yrs long?

Hmm...I wonder why you all extract teeth after putting on the braces one? not extract before installing braces?

It depends on which type of braces u wana do. I did mine for 5.8k, first payment I paid 2.8k, the remaining 3k is divided by 10 times which is I need to pay rm300 for each time I visit my ortho. The price that my ortho charge for traditional braces is 4k, Damon is 5.8k, which excluding x-ray, extraction and retainer.

Hi all,

Nowadays I feel pain when I drink water or open my mouth big...and even when I rinse my mouth. The pain is come from the upper jaw near the gum on the left...the pain comes in sudden then it disappear after a short moment... like kena electric shock.

Anyone experience this before?

hahaa thats really sound kinda scary...But extraction is ok for me la...before I did it i was scared also haha... Sacrifice has to be made for a better future this is what I always tell myself

I noticed that there're some stain on my teeth nearby my gum.. couldnt clean or remove it..
I brush my teeth after every meal but why stil have such thing sticking on my teeth?

I think I've made the right decision for taking Damon as the pain is so less from what ppl have told me...although is more exp but worth it!
