Hi All,
Finally after years of contemplation, I have decided to go with Invisalign last month to treat my Class II Overbite problem. Already got my ClinCheck where I have seen the 3D simulation of before-after result. However, doctor asked me to choose one of the option below which I need your kind advise:

Option 1: To extract 2 up and 2 down pre-molar which shall achieve the 90degrees face side-view. But, the risk will be too much retraction and may end up looking old

Option 2: To remove wisdom teeth but the risk is retraction may not be up to maximum and will not be the perfect 90 degrees face side view

Need some light to be shed here. Thank you.

hi everyone. just got quote a price of 11k inclusive of damon braces, 6 tooths extraction which include two wisdom tooths, one time scalling, and retainer. is this price reasonable? Thank you. FYI the tradituonal braces are only rm700 cheaper

wah that's a lot!
my friend recently installed her damon braces at a dental clinic (Dr. Ling & Partners Dental Surgeons Aman Suria). the braces itself is only RM6,500. then my friend is not required to do extraction, so the estimated lumpsum cost would be less than RM8k brows.gif

Hi anyone tried ceramic/ transparent braces and think they are durable? I heard they don't last? and is Damon the best type out there? Less pain & time wearing etc?

I've just gotten my Damon Clear Braces awhile back. Prob one of the best decision i've made. I dont know what you mean by "dont last" but i think its better to check out their official damon system braces malaysia page to know more before getting it tho. Quite a few testimonials in their official pages.Hope this helps.

I have got rabbit tooth, precisely is crooked teeth anyway. I am still struggling to do orthodontic, girls I met they ask me not to proceed as they said I look nice when I smile...

I don't have gum problems, doctor said I have healthiest teeth he ever seen when I wanted to do scaling, probably I do mouth rinse often. Eating still fine, I am 33, no issue with that.

The only thing is when I am giving speech in front of many, I feel awkward over my teeth. Keep feeling people looking at them. I don't like laughing, as wrong angle will make my smile look bad.

Anyone has similar experience as me? sad.gif

I had rabbit tooth too. I used to cover my mouth when I laugh Cox I think it looks bad and ugly
If you feel like doing it, just proceed. I did it and yeah I have no regrets smile.gif not to mention that correct alignment of teeth reduces my headaches..
I'm wearing my retainer now. Getting braces is a lifetime thing so think if you can commit to maintain ur teeth else ur effort and money and suffering will be wasted.

Thanks for the encouragement. smile.gif I was just asking price around and the nearest dental clinic charges 8K. Will gonna plan to do that once I'm stable financially. Now I just worry the teeth extraction, including the 4 big tooth that is yet coming out. Damn that gonna cost a lot seriously.

finally took off my braces after 3 years and i just got my new retainer yesterday, however i find out the retainer cover most of my tooth except the left upper last molar teeth it didn't cover up, but the retainer both left and right length are balance, maybe i have one extra teeth at upper left. should i inform dentist about this? or this is fine?

Hi Guy,
Would like to ask whether anyone here know the current pricing for Hawley and permanent retainer (for up and bottoms)?

And if I plan to do it at a new clinic, will the doctor charge additional fees for reviewing my case? If yes, what the charges might be for a rough estimation.

Not going back to the existing one, as their price is quite high (even though for their old customer).

Hope you guy can provide some info, thanks.
