I wonder how you know it's without sim card although I just mentioned it's a secondary phone.
Upon inserting the sim card, straight away receive the update without doing anything

i took a wild guess that you didn't input sim card in your secondary phone because i usually don't put sim card in my secondary P20 Pro too lol 😂

Apparently not all SC the same. Eg. in Sarawak's Kuching branch would outright reject if yours are discontinued models, including Matebook X Pro even though they're listed as eligible participating models such as the RM99 batt. replacement.

Been using my P20 pro since 2018 without much issues. Its still is a class hardware! Feel the need to change now - the OS is dated now. What's the at-par phones to look at?

Personally don't like Samsung for their over enthusiastic software. Huawei - still a great bet but no android is a turn off! Honor may be?

Technically the OneUI is very matured unless there some fans prefer near stock UI like Pixel.

I like both of them, whether is OneUI or Pixel.

But if you dont want to look outside of Huawei or Honor brand. Try Honor Magic 5 Pro or nonPro depend your budget.
