Just for update, the latest updates does make my phone kinda faster, less laggy when turning from one game to apps etc, compare previously. It kinda smooth now

After update, battery consumption very high? After update the version, my wife took my phone to order foodpanda. Was 34%, after order, 23%! Need to monitor for a while, since after update many apps are optimizing.

Mine is ok, I using Power Savings mode though.

it normal for initial period, especially after a major update. same story or question raised on each time major IOS update, battery become poor for first 1 week.

I also think, it is time for you to change the battery if you haven't change before.
My p20 pro was draining fast when running with apps after 2yrs+ usage. Few months ago, I changed and confirmed my issue was due to battery.

So long story short , it might be battery reaching EOL. Try remove your phone from casing and observe carefully if the LCD screen is being push away by the swollen battery or not.

My secondary Huawei P20 Pro is not getting the new emui 12 update. Wonder why

try put a active sim card inside for at least few days. on mobile data.

i just tested, put an active sim card inside, switch on mobile data, restart the phone, still mobile data ON, within 1 hour, can go settings software update there check and then update to latest Emui 12.

My gf still using P20 PRO and she got the latest update.
By the way, this is her active daily phone.

And it is still doing well !
