where can i get a suitable ipa? is the spray ipa alcohol suitable?

thanks man

No worries bro.
hmmm, I bought a bottle of 95% IPA solution for cleaning from Shopee, might be more than you need.
You can try using sanitiser first. Alcohol containing ones should be at 60-70%, might be enough.

If still too stubborn, try using hair dryer, heat it up first (will soften it a little), then use the IPA solution to try to scrap it.
Limit all the exposure to the adhesive area only, the smaller the better. Good luck!

I used the sticker and placed it inside my car windscreen. So far so good no issues. Also installed it on a Honda City eHev.

You can try it first. Put a clear plastic to secure the rfid sticker to the windscreen. Drive through a toll plaza if it works then good. However my car tint is JPJ compliant. If your car tint is darker you may have problem.

No, if fail to detect, u will have to reverse and use normal lane

Do it in the middle of the night when there are no car because sometimes, there are 3-4 cars behind u and quite impossible to reverse safely

If you DIY the RFID sticker. Most likely will fail

This is why people still go to the RFID installation panel and do it. Because they have the right equipment to measure which location is the best

I dont get it why malaysia do not have alternative payment methods if the selected payment fail ... In Singapore even you fail to pay ERP charges can still pay later or even car parks provide another cashless method if it fails to detect

Do like me, dont peel off the sticker.

use road tax holder and place inside windscreen

position top left (if u are sitting inside car)
I place 5 cm from pillar and 10cm from roof, it works without any problem

Hi sifus,

Is there any extra charges by going to fitment center? l.e labour fee?

Do all fitment center test the RFID after installation or they just help you to fit?

Thanks

RFID is not some rocket scientist whereby it needs specialist to install one.

Previously mine was installed by some part time "teenager" girl which was promoting at a Petronas station (during the time when its offered for free)

I told her to install at the windscreen and she just stuck it there, without using any device.
I've been using it for more than a year, and it works fine every time I pass the RFID toll booth.

So if some young girl can simply stick it and it works, I bet anyone can buy one and DIY stick themselves.

I saw the instructions already but since you pay the same price in the fitting centre, i rather bring it to them to do it. Don't wanna get stuck in a freaking toll booth.

I tried RFID, it is so so

Smart TAG is more reliable to me

I got stuck two out of ten times, so, I think that is terrible

Smart TAG maybe once every 20 times?

A lot of people aren't aware that you need to keep the RFID strip clean. Dust and grim will reduce the scanning performance of RFID strip. I know there are user who don't wash their car for months!

Cleaning / washing it once a week will improve its performance and less likely will get stuck.

Put mine inside the car near roadtax. Just stick with tiny scotch tape.

Did the same to my friends and family. 7 cars, all 0 issue.

Only thing common is all of them have ceramic tint. Although they are different brands and price range, key is pure ceramic make sure not metallic nor metallic/ceramic hybrid.

Metallic tint even if you stick rfid outside the windscreen also will cause interference because the aluminum/copper etc particles will reflect RF energy. The guide said at least 5cm from any metal, that's the only rule need to adhere strictly.

Under your RFiD there is an option to de-activate the current one. Then only you can register the new rfid.

Those who drive 4x4 trucks, do you recommend to install RFID strip on outside top left corner of windscreen OR install at left side headlamp?
