Dear all, for those who planning to cut of the VISA or Master which come with AMEX.

Please make sure you fully redeem the points first before cut off.
Coz mine Visa still got 7000+ points, after i cut off, these point is TOTAL LOST.

Call card center they mention point will not carry forward to AMEX even AMEX is still using.

reported successful to cancel my visa card.. and left only amex

all point transfer to amex card and she help me to remove from m2u account too for visa

I called the plat sc. Yes, i've done the instalment transfer before and it was allowed, that time it was from the m2c visa to m2c amex. Wil try again tomorrow, hopefully i don't need to call several times to get everything done.. 

Sometimes a little bit of 'logic/common sense' does help in these kind of situations..

Unfortunately in my case perhaps 'minimal' mental exercise was done with just a regurgitation of the 'standard answers'..

may i know why do that implement after sept 1? do you mean before sept 1, we can actually keep only one of the cards?
currently have visa + amex gold.
I don't see any bad side other than the double RM25 SST charges.
Why would you want to cancel a free annual fee card?
You can keep it there in case of emergency.

Submitted cancellation request on 4 Feb 2019 via FB message. CS contacted me on the same day, informing me it is allowed to cancel 1 out of 2 cards. I mentioned to CS that many Lowyat forumers mentioned it is no allowed to cancel 1 out of 2 cards for saving on SST purpose. He clarified stating it is allowed. The cancellation can even be done on the spot if I activate the card (I did not activate cause I am worried about getting SST charge).

Today I followed up again via FB and got a call as well. This CS informing me the cancellation is in progress and it is expected to complete by 14 Feb 2019. He also mentioned to me if I have activated the card, he can do the cancellation on the spot too. (again I did not activate cause of the SST concern)

Let's see the end results by 14 Feb 2019. To be continued....

ohh. 10k worth RM20. so still a good deal. by the way i livechat with citibank they absorb the service tax. so for maybank they will insist no waiver?
