From other banks, no issue. Just from your M2U to other people's MBB CC, it is not possible.
*
Did you try this

Add a new favourite payee - choose the credit card

Edit: Type Maybank to list all products (American Express, Visa, Mastercard, World Mastercard)

This is only for AmEx Charge Card I think. Anyway, I don't think it is possible for normal CC.
*
posted new pic for maybank amex, visa, mastercard.

Edit: I used to do it for my wife - she has MBB cards but no MBB acct, however all my favourites were added in M2U classic days so have not tried in new portal. She has not needed this since IBG and IBFT became cheap cheap

Hey guys, I noticed that starting this week I stopped receiving SMS alerts for transactions above the threshold that I set. Checked my Maybank App today and saw that those "alerts" are in the app's inbox. Like WTF. I didn't even receive any app notifications.

The point of SMS alerts is so that you get alerted as soon as fraudulent transactions happen. This defeats the purpose of SMS alerts!

Anyone noticed the same?
*
was announced two months back that ppl with Maybank app will get notifications instead of sms. I uninstalled and told Maybank to remove my app activation from system to keep SMS.

Do people get notifications at all? Cos I don't. And I can't find any notification settings in the app except "Notifications for promo" which is irrelevant and crap.
*
wont know. i removed the app before this started. Have to wait for other feedback

If go to Midvalley Maybank centre, can we get a better rate to exchange? Let say AeonBig voucher RM50
*
been a while since i redeem but from MBB centre you save on courier charges - which is reflected in points in the catalogue. MBB centre shows the vouchers in a paper print out stickied to their counter

They actually do. Need to call customer service for payment.

but there have been reports that TIME internet has been miscategorized as Utilities - so no cashback and 1x TP on weekdays only

one thing which i dislike about MBB. They cannot waive it. My other bank cc can waive by just calling without deduct TP
*
they dont need to - if you consider how many other bank credit card vouchers were available for 11.11 at Lazada yesterday while MBB voucher was next to impossible to get. i would surmise Maybank has the lion share of the Msian market. No need to reward loyalty / retain customer.

Yeah the place that I did was very nearby to my office. So I did went there to check. The staff there said it wasn’t ready yet but I should be able to collect it on Monday.

Thanks!
So let’s say, if I have paypal malaysia account where it stated in MYR in the paypal page, and I link my amex card to it. Buying stuff from outside of Malaysia is fine right? For example Nintendo games from NA eshop. But if I were to buy something from local merchant is no bueno right?

Do I get all these correct?
*
yes - local merchant also can as long they dont charge in MYR. Note that merchant gateway is paypal = US, so be mindful of timezone if you are trying to get 5% weekend cashback

Let's not forget that in Europe, it is common to use credit and debit cards to pay for small-amount purchases. Plus, from the country's point of view, it is expensive to use currency notes and coins, because it costs money to circulate the money, from the banks, general public (who withdraw salary from ATM), retailers and businessmen (who may deposits some of daily proceeds into cash deposit machine) and back to banks.
*
not to forget ewallets (and all electronic transactions except for crypto) establishes a clear paper trail easily for audit and enforcement purposes

It depends. If you have a lot of unused CB quota (up to RM1000 weekend spendings per month) then -5% and +2.5% will give you 2%-3% net CB.

But spend on Malaysia Time between Saturday 4pm and Sunday 8pm. Otherwise the transaction date can be a Friday or a Monday (5X TP instead of 5% weekend CB).
*
QUOTE(geekfiredog @ Dec 9 2019, 11:57 AM)
it's based on local time.  I've transactions that occurs on Sun local time (Mon M'sia time) that earn me 5% cashback.

If you are on biz trip and file for your expenses - why not?  Just claim with actual exchange rate, and you keep the 5% cash back.
*
the advice is because if the charge was forex, it will be based on local time of the charging (foreign) gateway. Had a lot of "why i didn't get cashback reports on saturday morning" complaints in the past

No issue with you being overseas

Hello guys.
I recently just got my credit card, can I make any settings to automatically pay the statement balance from my savings account every month?
*
in maybank2u, go to the credit card -> statement balance -> pay now -> then choose autopay.

However i am not using this and I do not know whether this charges you on due date, or on statement generation date (i.e you do not get to make use of the 20 days interest free period)

edit: this is how i expect it to work, make sure you monitor the first few times

Hi, Fave entitled how many TP per RM 1? My thought is 5x below RM 500, and 1x above RM 500. But my fren say 0X.
*
Fave is not considered an ewallet by MBB so far as it does not store value (or offer withdrawal)
