You or someone have to write to Customs or Finance Ministry to clarify this. I think most would not do it, because it's only RM25 and a one-off thing. From third SST billing onwards, it will be 1 year from the previous SST bill.

I did write to Customs to seek clarifications, but that's for something else that's not affecting almost all the people here.
Check out the link from penguin yesterday. I remember card upgrade have to pay. By right, check if benefit outweighs SST charges. In this case, you only get travel insurance (and I've read, special call number for Platinum card holders).

Have to wait loh. Once I wrote to them, they did reply - 1 month later. Now that I digged back my mail, their response wasn't favorable to me. I was GST'd before GST kicked in.

from your discussion, my understanding is if i have existing m2c cards, i apply new maybank signature card, the new card expiry month will follow the existing m2c cards??

I just managed to pay Maxis from Maybank2u > Amex. Unify was also working last month from Maybank2u. I'll call Maxis up later to see if they received.

Edit : Just called and they've received my payment from Maybank2u site > Amex card.

So I think as long as Maybank2me allows you to pay with Amex, it's ok. They probably has other way to channel money to Maxis. Like when I pay TNB from Maybank2u, it's updated instantly on TNB's site. But when I use UOB PayOnline, it takes a few days to update.

If any doubts, just try pay $1 and call Maxis up.

Yes, duplicate balance is wrong. Moreover, over the months I have reduced the balance as I pay monthly but it still retains the amount from September.

MBB supposed to charge me SST this month, and I requested to upgrade (dual card platinum) and it was succeeded.

I am not sure whether MBB will charge me SST for both gold and platinum card ? Anyone has experienced ? Then it will be  25 x 4 = 100

This must be either one of the biggest f-up by the MBB card agent or miscommunication.

I guess it's better to cancel the card after a year & meanwhile reapply for the Maybank 2 Card. This will set you back by RM100 for SST fee though.

Yes I did receive 5% weekend rebate but no Treatpoints (last done in Jan 2019).
I won't do it again just because I can now use Amex to top up Boost e-wallet.
