Hi, I made a purchase online on the night of 31st January (Sunday). Based on statement, transaction date is 31st Jan (Sun), posting date is 1st Feb(Mon).

1. I did not receive the 5% cashback for January (weekend spending, and I have not spent a single cent on my Amex during weekend for January)
2. Now that I have receive my statement, no treatpoints given for that transaction as well.

Does that mean I will get the 5% cash rebate by end of February?

since you are not spending with it to earn cb or TP, then cancel it

if you have some marginal TP left, spend some on weekdays & non-excluded items to earn 5X TP just enough to cover RM25 sst redemption with 10k TP

even without TP, need RM2k spending x5 to accumulate to 10k TP.

again, if don't want to spend anymore, the choice is obvious.

I was thinking the same recently though. since I have 92k TP left, I could still keep it for 9 more years

I didn't cancel it due to constant card benefit changes; who knows, pbb could do massive revision to their cards, or uob revising yolo cb (constantly actually), or affin duo removed ewallet eligibility or major ewallets removing cc reloads, etc.

P/S:
Minimum payment to Air Selangor, Unifi, Sarawak Energy is RM10.
Minimum payment to Lembaga Air Kuching is RM3, so can pay RM5 with (5-5) voucher.
Unifi - limited to 5x payment to the same account in a month.

AT YOUR OWN RISK, Lazada may stop allowing the vouchers to be used on digital goods (pay bills, mobile reload, vouchers) in the future. Then buy groceries and computer parts.

I just paid electricity bill today (Saturday) on the Lazada app using Amex. Can get the 5% weekend cashback this way, right?

U can, but not direct way.

Just topup any ewallets and transfer to Mr A.
Ofcourse there are some restrictions and anyway MBB no longer gives points/cashback for topup ewallets.
Ewallet accounts itself has rescrictions such as must be verified (provide IC) and got limit.
Eg TNG max 5K/month
Boost max 2K/month

Alternatively u can find "cash out" services in Shopee/Lazada where u make an actual purchase but no item will be delivered but seller will give u back cash, with fees ofcourse.

most annoying is Aeon, they call you when you pick up the call they hang up, more than 1 time a day and keep calling until you paid.
