Just to update was I was told by CS when I called to cancel the Visa card. It seems any 1 card can be cancelled based on "member since" date is before September 2018.

we didnt dig the details earlier, but during early days of SST back in Sep 2018, most of us managed to cancel the Visa/MC of M2C. During that time, we thought maybank gave us a lenient 'exit' for the Visa/MC

I guess your info gave extra criteria of "member since = before Sep 2018"  :thumbsup:

Can we cancel the VISA while maintaining the AMEX?

Cheapskate dont want pay double government tax and not utilizing the VISA that comes along.

gais, anyone can confirm if we can overpay for credit card to 'increase' our limit temporary? example, today my limit left probably RM5k, i then pay RM6k so I can charge an expense for RM6k... maybank macam don't allow to overpay beyond your credit limit...

I'm planning to make a rm2.5k purchase.
Need some advise to whether should i do the purchase with amex on weekend to max up rm50 cashback or on weekdays to get treatpoints.

FYI, i usually unable to max up my rm50 cashback as my commitment isn't that huge, usually around rm20-30+. I can push my bills payment to next month.
As for treatpoints, i currently have 17K. I only redeemed Lotus cash voucher as it is the most practical redemption for me.

If I apply the m2 gold, only using the amex on weekends for 5%, not gonna activate the master/visa, still gona kena service charge for 2 cards even if I only activate 1? Any workaround? Or just use it amex as normal: weekdays to accumulate points, weekends to hit the RM50 cap, then eventually use the point to offset the serice charge? Thanks for any input!

Maybank 2 Platinum Cards
Minimum annual income: RM60,000

Applied for supplementary card but didnt know they still come in pair.. Can i just not activate the cards at all instead of requesting for cancellation?

Initially i thought it will provide supplementary card for the mastercard (since i can only pick one during application).  Now that it still come in pair means i have to pay more for SST

I emailed them. They replied with some forms that need to be filled up with some supporting etc. Then wait for the new cards to arrive.

So i got my replacement cards in the mail for my Amex+Visa  which were going to expire in may 2023.

In the letter, there were  9-digit activation code for each card. what's the use of those?  I was never prompted to input them when activating the new cards in M2U. lol

Maybank is not as generous as PBB when it comes to SST waive right? the only way is to waive using 10k treatpoints?
