Just to update was I was told by CS when I called to cancel the Visa card. It seems any 1 card can be cancelled based on "member since" date is before September 2018.
I did asked in the event I want to upgrade to platinum, the CS said, must call CS to specifically request for card upgrade and they process the application to upgrade the amex card only thus the "member since date" will be the same. If MBB issued the 2nd card (despite cancelled earlier), need to call back CS to cancel that card.

So far this is what I was told la so wondering if anybody can confirm this? 

so with the latest revision i guess maybank ikhwan amex can replace this maybank2 amex?

Anyone know how does the annual fee waiver works? MBB will charge first then waive?

Nope, its maybank 2 gold card. When i get my cards around early sep, i even called MBB to confirm that they are maybank 2 gold cards.

Btw, MBB charged annual fee on pro-rated basis? It doesnt make sense though as i applied and got the cards in september.

Yes, lucky for us. However, ys_2k mentioned he was able to cancel it too. Maybe it is just an isolated case or MBB has started to be lenient about it. Not sure.

Guys, seems like Maybank card debts they will collect until 1 day before our statement date. I think it was not like that previously....usually they will take until end of previous mknth
