13 hours!! Wow!

Just installed the new Gcam with night mode.....will post pics later when I have time to take some pictures.

Here is my quick and simple comparison of the new pixel cam. Bear in mind, I am no pro. I just point and shoot.

Original Asus Camera

New pixel cam normal mode

New version of Arnova's google cam app is out. Just downloaded and tested. Here are some comments:

- Newer version that works whereas another mod is said does not work. This one works.
- Slower in the view finder. Can feel like laggy.
- google lens works
- night mode now works and can see subjects in the view finder whereas the other version is totally blank.
- night mode pictures sometimes does not appear in photos. Had to take a few times.

Now I have like 4 camera apps. I think I prefer the older version of the pixel/google cam where the night mode is blank. This one works better and not so laggy.

This is the newer version that I am testing now. This one have better compatibility. Only issue is the front cam does not work on all features for 3gb version.

When lighting is ok. Not necessarily good lighting. Just ok lighting, the night mode is no difference from normal cam mode. The night mode is only useful when the lighting is really very bad.

I am not so worried about overnight charging my phones. I usually does overnight charging because I don't want to worry about timing. Phone have the capability to cut off the charging when it is at 100%. So you do not really need to worry about over charging. Sure, overnight charging is not as healthy as if you charge the phone at the exact time. But I don't care. I have no time to be micromanaging my phone charging and turning on or off services at night and so on.

I got similar issue before with dead battery when charging overnight. And this happened on Redmi Note 3. Luckily the phone revived after I try plugging in and out a few times.

The reason for this is I think the micro USB connection wasn't plugged in properly or the contacts did not connect properly. So the phone end up not charging and even got discharged. When I touch the phone it felt warm but battery totally dead.

I would say this will happen to cheap phones. Cause it never happened to my iphone and ipad. Sorry..I haven't tried and premium android phones yet. So I don't know if this happen to premium android phones.

Yeah the keys sometimes lag. But I am slow typist. I uses more sliding keys than typing. Sometimes when it's lag the sliding will not work. I will just type. Overall, no problem for me cause I don't type a lot on my phone.

Ya, just update manually. As long as the phone is working properly, don't fuss over small issue. You will have less wrinkle.

Why lah...as though you guys will upgrade to M2.....

Definitely will skip this M2. I am getting a sliding phone. Since the times of Nokia Banana, I have always liked sliding phones.

Meaning you upgrade for less?

Upgrade to M2 through Asustek trade-in promo = pay RM559.30.

versus

Upgrade to M2 through selling M1 and buying new M2 = M2 - M1 = 799 - 350 = RM449

???

6 month old M1P at RM350 with warranty, definitely can sell. Plus why would Asus take back the old phones, they certainly can't refurbish and resell them like iphones.

Don't dream. Even Samsung don't take back their old phone. Except for the Note7.

What if they do? You will upgrade? LOL...sell me your M1 at RM270. I rebate for you.

What? 80mbps for 1080p streaming? LOL..that's too much. 40mpbs is more than enough.

Just like I expected. 30mbps is enough.

Carrier should be unifi. The label is wrong. It detected my primary SIM.

Ya man. You playing with cutting edge phones but you are still using Windows XP. I don't think they even test ADB commands in XP anymore. LOL.....
