The default camera seems to produce good enough quality pictures. Maybe no need to use gcam. Only problem is the notch....

I have stopped updating ROM. Keeping it at latest version of Android Oreo.

Asus had a lot of potential but they wasted the opportunity with substandard marketing. They killed their own brand with broken promises and bad inventory management. They manage to build the hype but fail to capitalize on it. What a waste.

5000mah battery size is just right. Higher would make the phone too bulky.

Read review says ColorOS is really bad. Worse than MIUI. For those who are used to pure android would not like it.

90% of battery drain is due to apps. Some apps will stay in background and suck up battery. Sometimes maybe it's some malware.

You need to use gsam battery or accubattery to see if you can find the culprit. However, a lot of the times not so easy to detect.

I you can't find the culprit then perhaps you can force stop certain apps that you think is the one.

If still can't find then as last resort, reset the phone. Then install apps few at a time. Use for few days then install a few more and monitor. Then you can know which app is the culprit.

FYI, just recently I have massive battery drain as well. After doing a lot of things, I still can't find which is the app causing it. So I remove the last app that I installed and phone back to normal. It is the stupid wechat. Thing is, I can't get the app to work because it block my account and ask me to seek a friend to unblock. I tried stopping the service but it still drains. Only recover back to normal after I uninstall the app.

Don't worry, there will be sure some Indians complain about battery drain issue and sound (using earphone) issue. Easy to sell phone in India. Just make sure they can listen to their Bollywood as long as possible and as clear as possible.

There are no option for 5000mah battery with price like 600++. M1 is still relevant. Asus had something good but they stopped making M series. What a waste.

How much does a used M1 go for these days? Just got a new phone to replace the old M1. Phone still in good condition 3+32gb. Good SoC. Better than those low mid-range phone running MTK.
