Yikes, when your view/neighbour went from being a lane, to an apartment, then finally a pond.

Pity those buyers, even if project can be resumed later on, doubt those foundation will still be sturdy enough once rust sets in since it's been flooded since late last year 😱😱😱

now pond super big, like 2 storeys deep, entire foundation back end rebar all soaking for mths. for sure issues later. no one bothered to pump water and maintain site. they just get bangla cincai paint front end exposed rebar. but back end all unpainted and soaking in water.

That aside, maybe we shd also document down all these as well? Later if, and before they recommence, need to get our JMB/MC to serve a notice to this effect to their insurers so that they can't deny liability if their building collapse and damaged ours 😟

Is this officially scrapped or are they still trying to make it happen? The Lavile owners will still get mosquito attacks and pooled water smells.

Hearing for leave applications at the Federal Court is fixed on 13 April 2023 (tomorrow). If rejected, then that is the end. If approved, the drama continues.

Gut feel will be rejected. Gov already many headaches from other issues. They don't want another issue to go into media to get firing from rakyat. hahahah

No use. Msia macam macam stories can be created to cover entire issues. Only pray if it does happens, gov do a proper investigation.

They will have issue one way or the other. If this application rejected, then DBKL will have to compensate the developer. Is the purchase proceeds still with DBKL or already used up/siphoned out?

however also will be DBKL in fault right? cause they are the one giving permit and they are also the one who withdraw the permit?

This development either way has caused many parties in lose-lose situation. If DBKL/ Developer lost the leave application, taxpayers will need to pay compensation to developer being the cost, time and effort lost where development order already granted to them. if they win, residents and Lavile will lose access road where the land is surrendered. Development probably will be delayed and developer may rush the job in order to avoid paying LAD.

In my opinion, DBKL should stop allowing land conversion and therefore it is important for KL2040 plan to be gazetted soonest possible to prevent similar incident to happen in future.
