Not really know much about the gear ratio thingy, but mine one is like this...

5th gear @ 2k rev = 80km/h
5th gear @ 3k rev = 110km/h
5th gear @ 4k rev = 140km/h
5th gear @ 5k rev = 170km/h
5th gear @ 6k rev = 200km/h ??
5th gear @ 6.8k rev = 220km/h (redline) ??

Only managed to reach 180km/h, coz sok chun liao.

wahhh so nice wei. time to swap back to sohc engine + gearbox   

Should be around 25k - 30k for halfcut. Mountings need to be modified ofcourse.

Erm the feeling is sort of like, the car is short of breath. At low revs. Because during daily drive you usually only utilise until 3-4krpms. Ive driven your car and i can feel the difference straight away. And also i have followed your car before, and i can see it out accelerates me very easily because you somehow have better low end torque.

Given the chance, you should try drive mine for 1 week straight, daily drive to and fro from work. Then you will feel you wish you had a sixth gear hehe.
@ 5th gear, my 3krpm is 80, 4th is 110, 5th is 130 if im not mistaken.

for great power, comes great responsibility..

i believe both engine are quite powerful.

but it ends up on the driver driving the car.
