hmm. well originally i only have wechat pay, because i dont like to install too many apps and since i use wechat a lot so wechat pay becomes my first choice. and then installed Boost just to ride on their cashback. these are the only 2 ewallets i have. i agree that cashback rewards will not stay too long - Boost's cashback reward is by far the most long lived one and as a consumer of course i would like to see it is never-ending but it is not practical.

Currently the most probable ones to survive in the long run I think:

1. TnG ewallet - due to toll usage and quick payment (makes just about everyone that accept TnG ewallet to accept card payment) and offline availability (? I noticed that you can generate bar code when offline after you generated it once)

2. WeChat Pay - due to reason you mentioned and their smart order integration (?) Hope they don't fuck this up. They did fuck up before.

What do you think?

I am not living in West Malaysia so I cant comment on TnG (TnG adoption in Kuching where i live is quite low, from what I observe). Wechat pay also surprisingly low. Most merchants here adopts Boost. Fave and Grab Pay second.

SarawakPay is more attractive than Boost now if you want to pay electricity, water, assessment bills and at some retail/dining outlets.

Yeah, heard about this too. I installed SarawakPay before but uninstalled. I have a weird and stupid mindset that I would rather get less cash rewards than to install so many apps in my phone. haha. maybe one day I will install back SarawakPay but uninstall Boost LOL

Doesn't look like it.

TnG is mostly in the Klang valley. Too limited.

WeChat Pay, low adoption rate - says this poll which I agree.

I think Touch n Go will lead the way. You should look at how aggressive they are in promoting RFID, not implemented nation wide yet, but the number of installation booths that pop up is a sign of things to come.....

1 more week to go before we can conclude that GoPayz won't see the day of light...

Sad...

I was eager to see some competition for BigPay.
